Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked A small site but everything I needed.
Toilet and showers were kept very clean. Waking up area.
A short walk to the beautiful sandy beach of Caister where you can walk into Great Yarmouth. And the Caister lifeboat museum. Local butcher, fresh fish and local convenience shop plus independent bakers, fish and take aways.
Great bus service outside campsite with regular buses.
All pitches had electric hook.
Small playground for children.
Disliked Nothing.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Nice quiet campsite.
On a working farm. Lovely hearing the sheep and cattle.
Pitches aren’t marked so you can spread out.
A toilet toilet with two toilets, two showers, also a washing up area and a fridge freezer.
Firepits to hire and wood to purchase.
You can buy fresh meat from them and there is a dairy farm down the road.
They also had a shepherd hut to hire with its own small plot.
Disliked Tried ringing the owner when I arrived but didn’t get a reply. Left a message to say I had arrived but they didn’t appear.
Luckily their was other campers to tell me where the toilets and water tap were.

Wildlife non-electric grass pitch
Liked My second stay here. And you can not fault it. It’s a very friendly site.
Lots of space to spread out. With areas to have secluded spots. Then there is the Orchard with its well needed shade.
There are plenty of areas with electric hook up for motor homes and caravans etc.
The site is well maintained. And facilities are kept clean throughout the day.
With a great toilet block and washing up facilities and a small freezer for those who need the ice blocks refrozen.
There are FREE showers in a separate block which are well designed with area for your clothes so they don’t get wet and a nice seat to sit on when drying off.
Outside there is a Tap to fill your bottles.
A large area opposite the toilets with bins, recycling, grey water and portaloo emptying with hose to rinse. And an ash box for your firepit and bbq ash.
A lovely river walk from the site to the local pub The Maybush with great views over the river a tiny beach and great to watch the sailing yachts.
Everyone was nicely spaced out. Such a great site.
Shopping you had Aldi, m&sfood also and Tesco at the next roundabout up on the main road. And a great park and park into Ipswich but has barrier off 2m. Woodbridge is lovely town too.
Plenty of places to visit from Framlington to Southwold, Thropeness and Alborough. Orford is lovely to.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.
Not the greatness of wifi reception. But you’re there to get away from it all.

Mead non-electric grass pitch (adults only)
Liked What a find. A fabulous find.
A quiet site midweek Adult only. Dogs on leads are welcome.
But it’s a very lively site Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Prices are per person.
Mead field you can camp in groups bring your own drink and party until 2am when the music must be off.
The site had compost toilets which were good and showers in wooden huts with gas heater so great showers with room to get dressed in.
There is a lovely pizza restaurant on the main site that also does take away pizzas with a picnic seating area behind the restaurant and a small bar.
The main bar area is amazing but I’ll leave you to discover that.
A very laid back site with a lovely friendly vibe. A nice farm shop a half a mile walk to. And an hour walk to the beach.
Disliked The Porto loos on the smaller field, I would not use, as they do not have water to flush them.

Electric optional grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked A lovely site at the top of the road. Grass is lovely and soft. The site has levelled tiers to camp on.
A lovely toilet block with individual showers, and two family showers, toilets, washing up area and outside shower to rinse off if you’ve been in the sea.
Surf and body boards to hire. And most of the tent pitches have electric hook up if required. I didn’t need as only stayed two nights. Also free WiFi which was great.
In reception there is a microwave and a coffee/tea hot chocolate machine (extra charge) this closes at 8pm not 9 as stated on the post. But a great find.
Disliked I had paid for a late check out from standard 10:30 to 12 (£5)
This was my first trip in my campervan I wanted the late checkout as we had been getting rain during the night and wanted my storage tent to dry out. And didn’t realise how long it would take to pack up.
The site was fairly empty. But the owner wasn’t happy that I was running late to pack up. Hinting did I want to pay another £5 to stay to 6pm. Which I didn’t. I was just over half an hour late leaving and was made to feel very rushed.
Unlike most of the other sites I visited on my ten day trip. I felt this was a bit of a downer in my experience.

From the manager: Dear Judith. Thank you so much for your honest feedback. I am always open to suggestions and try to treat everyone equally. We offer late check out at very affordable rates and it's very popular. It takes the pressure off on rainy departure days and gives people until 6pm at just £10 per pitch. The £5 per pitch option gives less time and I am sorry that I came across pushy. I genuinely thought you would appreciate staying until 6pm. I will make it up to you next time. Regards. Stu.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch (maximum 7 metres)
Liked Very clean level site
All facilities had sensor lights
All facilities were kept very clean and nice hot water.
A small kitchen room with door for washing up which also had microwave and fridge with freezer for ice blocks.
Shower was very roomy with a still and hooks to put clothes to keep dry.
Shower lovely and hot. Was push button but was long enough to wet down then soap up and another push plenty to rinse off and a handy basket on shower so no having a bend over to grab your toiletries. There is also a separate wash room for teeth cleaning or personal washing this also has usb charging points to charge your devices.
Reception was in a hut. Which has a table and two stools if you wanted to sit in the dry if you were camping. This also have an array of treats to buy and a very good coffee machine and tea making facilities and sink. They was a price list and honesty box including a card machine to pay by card. Fresh chicken eggs from their chickens.
There were bins and ash cans for bbq coal waste a sink for fresh water. Grey waste with hose.
Such a great site. Wonderful owners who also run a pottery studio on site separate to campsite.
I can’t comment on wifi as didn’t use it.
Disliked I couldn’t find any faults just a little road noise but not enough to keep you awake.
