Liked Homely facilities, tidy and clean site. Nice dog area

Disliked Unfortunately the pitch we was on was the closest to the road. The noise was horrendous, the road is a rat run for HGVs and constantly all night the noise and vibrations kept us up and we barely had 20/30 minutes of sleep. Someone with a terribly loud motorcycle reving it at around 9/10pm closing the gate was also unpleasant as it caused the van to vibrate. I didn’t find the site relaxing and as a lack of sleep had a terrible headache. I would have preferred screaming children than the noise and violent shaking of the van when HGVs bombed past all throughout the night. It is a nicely laid out site, but we had a night from hell.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: It's no secret that our site is next to a main road, however to state that our wooden entrance gate that is 25m from the pitch caused our guests van to vibrate is totally ridiculous. If you're such a light sleeper, why would you book a site that is next to a main road and then complain about your poor choice.

Liked Quiet at night

Disliked Next to no lighting the solar lights do not work near gate, bins or waste areas. The ground is very uneven and uncared for, the lack of lighting on a night is quite dangerous. Not disabled friendly at all. The water points are ridiculous, next to no pressure and took over an hour to fill the motor home water tank. The lack of pressure is also by the waste water chemical area, which as a result makes it smell bad. In summer this would be horrible. Site says no commercial vehicles but site looked more like a business or commercial storage yard than a holiday park. With a gardeners pick up, fish mongers and a LGV truck in the corner. Very difficult to find, drove around for an hour, no signposting and number was only found on Google, tried calling owner who eventually answered after 25 minutes. Not for us. Especially for the money, not a good experience
