Fully-serviced grass and gravel tent or motorhome pitch
Liked The view & peaceful setting was lovely! A family site - was lovely seeing the camp 'wake up' in the mornings & their return from day outs!!
Children had the middle of field to play & the country views in the distance made for relaxing sitting outside van!
Robartes pub just along from site on safe walk but not serving food at the present time. Morrisons next to pub and great selection of foods and drink! Also pasty shop opp pub!!!
The Ship Inn 15 min drive or 40 minutes walk .... best to book table for food!
Choice of baches a short drive away &
lovely walks in & around village of Illogan.
Amy the owner, is lovely and her directions to enter the site from the A30 was spot on for our touring van.
Amy's warden, Roger was very helpful & always ready to help or assist in any way! 😊
All my family had a great week & will be going back without a doubt, with all three grown up children & five grandchildren! 🥰
Disliked Can't think of anything to dislike!

Electric grass pitch (privilege, riverside)
Liked Just returned home after a week with family and will definitely return to this lovely site!!
Relaxing by the river Seine's edge with son, partner and grandson's 1yr & 13 in the evenings watching boats / barges going by was entertaining and oh so relaxing!!
My husband and I had a motorhome whilst my son and family had a touring caravan. We booked a riverside pitch next to each other.
The receptionist was extremely helpful and spoke excellent English much to my delight, as I was so lazy at school and wished I had paid attention during French lessons!! Our pitch was still occupied by it's current tenants when we arrived, and were nowhere to be found! This wasn't a fault of the owners and we quite happily took the pitch on the other side of our son when it was offered.
Much to our delight - it worked to our advantage as the river view was so much better!!
Bouncy castles, outdoor swimming pool and paddling pool kept both children entertained. The bar area kept my husband and son entertained!! They served local beer on draught and the snacks and pizza was very tasty!
There was also a very tempting cocktail list with both alcohol and non alcoholic cocktails much to my grandsons delight!
My grandson and I cycled around the site on a number of evenings just to cool down! We were in the midst of the current heatwave that had engulfed us all so the cooling but warm rain that came two days before our departure was so welcome!!
Showers and toilets were clean and with the current situation with Covid19 there was hand sanitiser and hand wash available.
The small village of Les Andleys was approx 15 min walk along by the river which was also a safe cycle route. Another 15 minute walk from the village took us to a small hypermarket, patisserie and pharmacy.
The site was well maintained and clean and I give it a 5* rating - not the the 3* it currently has.
Disliked ... not being able to control the shower temperature was the only dislike for my poor husband - as he wanted a cool shower after setting up camp. Not a complaint as we all like a hot shower don't we?

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked We've been to the Hop Farm on a few occasions with our children and grandchildren. Hard standing and electric hook up is a must for us and management have been able to honour our request being pitched together - 3 pitches.
The EHU pitches are spacious although the hard standing may need attention as over the years the 'hard standing' mingling with grass.
There is ample room on adjoining fields and a sense of freedom prevails.
Near to the river for kyack / boat to enjoy family days.
Pub next door as is the Hop Farm children's activities.
Fire pits allowed - off the ground.
Recently refurbished toilets are a plus.

From the manager: We are glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us. We always do our best to accommodate requests by families and friends to be pitched together. I will pass your comments regarding the hardstanding pitches to our maintenance team.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Stayed at Easter 2018 - although very wet and slightly muddy (can't blame the site) loved the open space and loved the little 'shop' in reception for the kids giving them independence to buy their own ice lollies using their OWN money of course!
Kids loved the activities in the Hop Farm (discount entrance for campers) and I love the boot sale on site and being able to walk across the field although it was called off at the Easter weekend due to the amount of rain of late!!
Toilets are ok with hot showers!
We have stayed here a few times as a couple / extended family group / and also with friends. Although I normally choose electric hook up - looking forward to doing a bit of 'wild' camping soon in the large fields.
Fires are allowed but off the ground - we had ours going during the day ... great fun - with the fire pit and wood brought form home!
Lovely walk through the trees to the river and watched the boats going through the lock and walk along the river (half hour) to the village of Yalding for an afternoon tipple at their pub! One of my regular camping jaunts!

Liked The weather!!
We were lucky with the recent sunshine which made the Hop Farm even more enjoyable for me and my husband than before!
I've been before with family and grandchildren and love the vast amount of space available. So much freedom! Hardstanding EHU are average space between but ample space behind van on pitches 1 - 15 and right next to open field where boot sale sets up weekly - some distance away in the field (not on top of pitch). Water tap on pitch by EHU.
Non electric - two huge fields ... such a sense of openness even when busy! I went non electric with my motor home a few weeks ago just to experience the peace & quiet by the edge of the field with no-one parked on top of me!! Amazing! We had a fire which was a magical experience but we deliberately hired it off the ground in a small camping fire pit so as not to burn the grass.
Short walk to the river where we've enjoyed a lot of fun with our inflatable kyack! There is a 24/7 Co-Op close by.
Showers are hot and free.
Toilets are clean but can get very untidy when busy but I feel that's down to the people using it!! There is an older block which is opened when busy.
Very welcoming when arriving and a little shop at entrance with ice lollies and few essentials!
Brewers Fayre pub situated outside entrance next to the Hop Farm kids section.
One of my favourite sites!
Disliked I have one small gripe as ladies showers is a small square cubicle so all items - towel etc has to be left outside the cubicle. I personally prefer privacy when I'm getting dressed so very awkward trying to do this in the cubicle.
