What can I say, decided to…

Jul 2026

Liked What can I say, decided to have a staycation because our dog had had major surgery and didn’t want to leave her behind, came on pitchup as we have had some lovely stays through them previously , and again they didn’t disappoint. We arrived at our yurt later than anticipated due to very heavy traffic but this was not a problem for Cathrine, on arrival we found the host to be extremely bubbly, we were promptly shown the facilities and our yurt which would be home for the weekend. The yurt ….. the yurt was beautiful with a king size comfortable double bed, and quality bedding. 2 bedside tables with solar powered lamps , a chest of draws ottoman with extra blankets and an open hanging space for clothing plus to chairs which converted to single beds, fairy lights for extra ambiance was also provided. There was also a log burner which was out of use due to the current hot weather, for fire safety reasons (to be expected ). Which we would not of used any was as the yurt was more than warm enough. The place was spotlessly clean . Kitchen facilities ……. Each yurt has its own kitchen space with a fridge kettle sink and cupboard space. A lovely touch was they provided tea, coffee milk sugar and biscuits for your arrival and a most beautiful piece of cake which went down a treat . There is a freeze with a draw for each yurt and a shared cooker toaster air fryer and microwave, these guys have thought about everything , there was nothing I needed that you couldn’t find including salt and pepper , washing up liquid tea towel cloth for wiping down kitchen role a hairdryer !!! And I football game which came in handy whilst waiting for the food to cook. A massive table and chairs sits within the heart of the kitchen. and again the place was spotless . Bathroom facilities….. each yurt is provided with its own wet room comprising of a rainforest shower and toilet , you’re given a key so you can lock it when not in use if you wish but we just left ours unlocked, there is a lock on the inside for when you’re inside so didn’t feel the need to have to lock it whilst not in use but think it’s a great idea if you have kids with you. Again these were spotless . Outside space …… there is a large field shared by all 3 yurts and more than ample space between you so not to encroach on each others privacy, a picnic bench is sat outside each yurt with a couple of benches in the field and a couple of relaxing chairs which you could move if you wanted them. Again there are usually fire pits and barbecues but because of the dry spell the decision was made to not allow these during our stay. Bailey is the farm dog whom I was a little scared of at first but who is the softest most loveable dog who is more than happy to chase his ball as long as you’re willing to throw it and who will make himself comfortable in your yurt which I’m sure he thinks he owns lol. He was equally as friendly with our nervous cockapoo and they became friends pretty quickly. Over all….. Malcome and Cathrine have really put some thought into this business and have 100% nailed it. I don’t think there is anything more they could have done to make our stay any better, they were welcoming friendly and helpful from booking until leaving and we have already recommended them to friends and family. We wish them every success for the future because they truly deserve it .

100% the place to go for camping with a difference !

Aug 2024

Liked Well what can I say, we ended up at tree tops and train tracks because the glamping site I booked with originally cancelled and I’m so glad they did because this was such an amazing experience for my 3 9 year old grand children. We stayed in the buzzard tree top tent, 3 layers suspended in the trees 20 foot up, an amazing experience and memory for the kids for sure, the site is beautiful. Seb and his family have worked so hard to make it what it is and I feel things will only get better in the future , if you’re looking for something with a bit of a difference then this is the place for you . The shower/toilet cubical which were an old train carriage were the cleanest toilets I’ve ever come across !! Keep up the good work guys . Sorry we left without saying goodbye but a vomiting bug meant we made an early get away xx

Disliked Traffic noise was quite obvious but tolerable, Shame that the forest is currently out of bounds due to no fault of the hosts (tree disease) as this made the site quite small we were looking forward to exploring the forests

Excellent site set within beautiful surroundings,

Mar 2023

Liked Beautiful surroundings Friendly helpful staff Peaceful area Great for kids Dog friendly Lovely pods

Disliked Loved that the pods were set aside in a quieter part of the site, think the pods would be nicer facing the opposite way so they felt a bit more private and there found then be a small grassed area for kids to play on
