Camping La Pinada is a medium-sized family-run park in Enguera, a small rural village 70 kilometres from Valencia. It's surrounded by the Enguera mountains, a popular destination for outdoor activities like horse riding, hiking and mountain biking; many trails are accessible a short walk away and the friendly team at reception are happy to help guests book all sorts of activities. Valencia is an hour’s drive away.
But… the food. The splendid restaurant at La Pinada is where you should spend some significant time too (you’ll need to fuel up for all that horse riding and mountain hiking): it specialises in traditional Mediterranean dishes in its lunch and dinner menus, all made from the freshest ingredients sourced where possible from local markets. Their especial forte is braised meat and homemade sausage… and you'll also need to sample the paella, the gazpacho and pretty much everything else...
As well as the acclaimed restaurant, facilities on site include two pools and a play area; there are spacious amenities including showers and toilets too, and a washing-up corner and launderette.

Local attractions
Camping La Pinada is half a kilometre from its local town Enguera, where there’s a padel tennis court and a municipal swimming pool… as well as several popular little places for local happy hour.
Elsewhere, get out into the splendid Sierra de Enguera range from the site, for hiking, mountain biking and horse riding, as well as pottering around old archaeological sites like the remains of Enguera’s old Moorish castle. The Museo Arqueológico de Enguera ,10 minutes’ walk away in the town’s old post office, has palaeontological and archaeological exhibits, Middle Ages artefacts and a Fine Arts gallery.
Accessible trails nearby include the 12-kilometre nature path of the Enguera Nature Park in the La Pinada surroundings (ask for details on site) and hikes to El Salto de Chella waterfall from the village of Chella, 10 minutes’ drive away. Springs, fountains and small streams flow and trickle around here too: take the Ruta del Agua path to pass the waterways of Benali, Huesca, Cebolla, Roya and Arenas.
