Lakeside holiday, anyone? Aranypart Camping sits on the southeastern shore of stunning Lake Balaton – and you know what that means: direct access to a grassy beach and wild swimming, for starters, but also a multitude of watersports. So while you relax on the lawn, the more active members of your family can rent a pedal boat or a paddleboard, or have a go at the waterskiing course. There are plenty more active pursuits on site, with a volleyball court, ping-pong table, an outdoor pool (with comfortable sun loungers) and a playground for the kids. Your four-legged friend isn’t left behind, either: there is a dog park and a number of splendid dog-friendly walks in the vicinity. Speaking of which, an excellent way to explore the local area is on two wheels, which you can rent here. Where will your cycling adventure take you? Maybe to the nearby town of Siófok (five minutes’ drive or a 10-minute bike ride) or, if you have a bit more stamina in you, to the Lookout of Balatonföldvár (25 minutes, or one hour and 10 minutes by bike), part of a maritime museum. Alternatively, you might want to attempt the 26-kilometre loop that starts at Siófok’s Water Tower and leads you through the lush landscape surrounding the lake. Other activities include a lively children’s entertainment programme (from early July) and massages for stressed-out adults… Meanwhile, the on-site restaurant, with several buffets (including options for people with food intolerances), ought to relieve you of the headache of what to cook.

Lovely campsite with plenty of room for tents and cars, plus electric hook-ups. Clean loos, a great pool with a slide, and handy shops on-site and nearby. Lake access and a grassy beach are big pluses. A few folk mentioned bugs and dated showers in some areas. One fella wasn't happy with noise or the grub in the restaurant.

Liked - lots of places to put your tent
- space for the car near the tent
- electricity available even for tents, we have charged our car
- bathroom not crowded at all
- really nice pool with clean water and water slide
- various products at the supermarket inside the camp, another supermarket right outside the camp. We recommend the water balls

Disliked - flying insects that don't bite, but look like mosquitos all over the place
- when it was windy all the mosquitos were blown away and they could get inside your tent
- old showers in facility close to the camping

Liked Camping był przyległy do jeziora Balaton.

Disliked Zamówiliśmy parcelę 40m2, a dostaliśmy dużo mniejszą, było nam bardzo ciasno. Na prośbę o zmianie o jeden dzień rezerwacji, nie zgodzono się, pomimo, że były jeszcze dużo wolnych miejsc. Na campingu przez całe nasze 5 nocy była plaga ochotek, owady pojawiały się wieczorem i było ich miliony wszędzie, a najgorzej było w toaletach. Plaga osadzała się na kibelkach, umywalkach, ścianach, na autach i przyczepach. ja jeszcze czegoś takiego to w zyciu nie widziałam. Pracownicy nie byli wyposażeni w odpowiednie sprzęty do sprzątania. Było nieestetycznie. A sali gier w ogóle nie było sprzątane, aby zagrać to trzeba było najpierw samemu zgarnąć pełno martwych ciał tych ochotek, aby było widać w co się gra. Na drzewach były wielkie stada ptaków, które srały nam na stoliki, krzesła, na wszystko. za każdym razie składaliśmy stolik, krzesła i chowaliśmy wszystkie rzeczy do przyczepy, aby nie zostały osrane. Na campingu nie było widać żadnych działań, aby to zwalczyć. Wieczorem nie dało się siedzieć na dworze przez tą plagę owadów. Ja już tam na pewno nie wrócę i nie polecam nikomu. Pozdrawiam

Liked Kemp sice větší, ale moc se nám tam líbilo. Vše kousek. Zaměstnanci se neustále starali o čistotu jak wc, koupelen i kuchyněk. Určitě se vrátíme

Liked Blisko do wody. Bramki na kody w opasce. Osrodek duży że sklepem i restauracja. Za ośrodkiem fajne bary i restauracje. Plaza trawiasta, duża i czysta. Dużo miejsca na trawie i w wodzie. Fajne warunki dla rowerów.

Liked Kemp hned u pláže. Čisté toalety a sprchy (uklízečky viděny několikrát denně).

Disliked Noční klid se zde bohužel neřeší. Ze čtyř nocí jsme se v klidu vyspali jen jednu. Restaurace v kempu byla šílená, jídlo tam mají doslova hnusné a předražené.

Liked Alles vor Ort was benötigt wird. Umzäuntes Areal. Einige Aktivitäten vor Ort möglich. Minigolf, Beachvolleballplatz alles in gutem Zustand.

Disliked Die Magnetbänder zum Öffnen der Türen funktionieren oft nicht, man bekommt Ersatz. Bringt erstmal nichts, wenn man außerhalb ist. Ein Gebäude für WC und Dusche ist schon sehr alt, optional gibt aber ein neues Gebäude.

Liked Location and looks great for peak season

Disliked Advertising that the facilities are open until the Saturday yet we went on Thursday and everything already closed (this should have a discount as we only stayed because of facilities it was offering) gates locked all the time we were there to access lake yet it advertised on gates that they would be locked between 10pm and 7am and not constantly.

Local attractions

In addition to resident meerkats and emus (among many other animals), Bella Zoo Park (five minutes’ drive) arranges camel and pony rides for both children and adults. There is also a bouncing castle and bubble football, which sees players running around the pitch (and into their opponents) safely enclosed within a huge inflated plastic bubble. A large swathe of woodland is home to Zamárdi Adventure Park (15 minutes), which has treetop courses and zipwires for all ages, plus a jumping tower, a maze and pond-based rides such as water dodgems and a water zorb for two people. A pretty village on the peninsula stretching into Lake Balaton, Tihany (one hour) is known for Levendula Ház Látogatóközpont (Lavender House), with exhibits on the cultivation of this fragrant, colourful plant.
