Liked The view of the valley.

Disliked Being told we had to pay for electric and showers were extra to what we paid. I did pay on booking for the electric and after showing the old lady she told me it was the wrong price and tried to charge me more. Recycling was a joke. Bins all overflowing. Noisy oompah music in the evening. We were given a tiny pitch and told to keep to the right as more people were coming in. We did then a german motorhome took 2 pitches by parking sideways on.
Nowhere to empty waste water.
No hose for clean water. (Used my own)
The rest of the site were mainly fixed static caravans.
Not very welcoming at all.

Will not stay there again and will not recommend.

Liked Super freundliche Betreiber / Angestellte, wir durften sogar weit nach CheckIn-Schluss noch auf den Platz!
Es gibt es alles, was man braucht: Außer dem Waschhaus mit Kochmöglichkeit auch einen Brötchen-Service, ein Restaurant, einen Essen/Getränke-Automat, Spielplatz Aufenthaltsraum, Spiel-Raum...
Die Lage ist super für verschiedenste Aktivitäten (mit Rad, Wandern...), die Bushaltestelle für den etwa 15-Minuten-Weg nach Oberstaufen (bzw. andere Richtung Österreich) ist direkt am Campingplatz.

Disliked AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Do not waste your money or time! The spaces are inadequate and do not match the description. The areas given are not suitable to sit outside of your van as it is a gravel road with banks either side. The man who greated us was very rude and unhelpful when expressing that the area is substandard. This lead us to leaving and not spending the night. I tried reclaiming the funds spent to stay the night as the service was not provided, they have claimed that due to us not expressing my issues with them directly (I did tell the man who met us so this is incorrect) they are unable to provide a refund. They should not be providing this service as the site is not set up for it.

From the manager: Hello,
You booked and were assigned a reserve pitch. It matches the description.
If you were expecting a different pitch, I’m sorry… but you can’t book the cheapest category with us (6 euros per pitch!) and then expect a full-fledged camping site!
My colleague asked you to come to the front desk. Unfortunately, you didn’t do that.
You drove on without providing any information. We didn’t realize you were gone until 4 hours after your departure, when you canceled via email!
If you had come to the front desk, we would have:
1. tried to give you a higher-quality spot that you would have liked
2. if you still hadn’t liked it, offered a free cancellation and refunded your money in full.

You neither communicated with us nor informed us. As a result, we were unable to re-rent the pitch – which is why we refused to refund the amount!

We cannot understand why you simply left, then demanded your money back, and ultimately left such a review. If you had communicated with us, we would certainly have found a solution.

And last but not least, you claimed to Pitchup that we were overbooked and therefore couldn’t provide you with a spot. That was simply a false accusation, one for which we had to defend ourselves.
You didn’t enjoy your stay with us—that can happen—but please let us know openly and honestly, rather than making false claims afterward.
We’re truly accommodating, but this kind of behavior leaves us with no options.

Liked It was somewhere to park for the night (campervan)

Disliked Given pitch was in the car park. Yes it was on gravel. Allotted space was nowhere near the booked pitch size .On the edge of a car park when the sliding door was opened there was around 1 metre before the grass banking sloped down to the fence.
Four campervans were parked liked this.
We booked 2 months in advance and our details were on the the piece of paper the bloke who showed us where to go was using.
It was a bank holiday and I'm guessing they wanted to squeeze as many in as possible.

Your description of the site matches almost exactly the description we provided on Pitchup.
It seems, therefore, that you selected the wrong type of pitch. In that regard, Unfortunately, you rated us bad.

It’s also a pity that you didn’t bring up your dissatisfaction with us while you were here—so unfortunately, we weren’t able to help you and make you happy.

Liked Einfach gehalten, aber sauber und sehr nettes Team, Essen vor Ort im Restaurant war auch sehr lecker, Chef hat gekocht.... 🤣

Disliked Restaurant hat nur an bestimmten Tagen offen, evtl lag es auch an der neben Saison
