Fancying the idea of setting up camp on a Bavarian hillside with mountain views all around? Camping-Aach might be the very place for you. This terraced campsite in a high-altitude Allgäu alpine valley is surrounded by trees, and has all the facilities needed for a very pleasant family-friendly stay indeed. As well as a traditional chalet-style restaurant, these facilities include a play area, a special hub for campers kitted out with a refrigerator, a picnic area with seating and a games room for any inclement days. And as for the practicalities, all pitches have electricity and access to the shower blocks 24/7; there are water collection points all around the campsite, a dishwasher sink and a washing machine and dryer. Just 10 minutes’ drive from the shops and restaurants of Oberstaufen, this family-run site has been going strong since 1969. It is open all year, so walkers can flock in during the summer months and skiers can take advantage of the snow to race down the pistes at Hochlitten (10 minutes’ drive).

喜欢 The staff were friendly and very helpful as we spoke no German! Sorry!
The washrooms and showers were spotless and very well maintained. The pitch was rustic and fairly small and between other permanent pitches but we knew that it was only for a camper van. Food/ breakfast was available but we didn’t use those facilities. The sound of cow and church bells rang through the valley!

喜欢 The view of the valley.

不喜欢 Being told we had to pay for electric and showers were extra to what we paid. I did pay on booking for the electric and after showing the old lady she told me it was the wrong price and tried to charge me more. Recycling was a joke. Bins all overflowing. Noisy oompah music in the evening. We were given a tiny pitch and told to keep to the right as more people were coming in. We did then a german motorhome took 2 pitches by parking sideways on.
Nowhere to empty waste water.
No hose for clean water. (Used my own)
The rest of the site were mainly fixed static caravans.
Not very welcoming at all.

Will not stay there again and will not recommend.

it is correct, that you have to pay for shower and electricity separately, as told within pitchup.
You booked the hook-up but the consumption will be on top.
But this we explain very clear also during the check-in-process.

Normaly our place is very quiet, but on the weekend you visited us, was a celebration of brass band music (one day per year!! 364 days quiet ;-) ).

We are not allowed to offer a hose for clean water - to provide this is strictly forbidden by the local public health department. Sorry for that.

Für Familien mit Kindern sehr schön.

喜欢 Sehr schöner Campingplatz mit vielen Möglichkeiten von dort aus etwas zu unternehmen. Wir haben den bus genutzt und sind mit der App, welche man herunterladen kann, gut zurecht gekommen und waren eine woche lang gut mobil in der umgebung. Durch den walser pass (kurtaxe) war dies kostenlos.
Die sanitären Einrichtungen sind völlig ausreichend und zufriedenstellend.
Ein Spielplatz steht zur Verfügung und in dem Spielraum im Haupthaus steht genug Spielzeug für Kinder zur Verfügung. Unserem Sohn (7 jahre) hat es sehr gut gefallen. Das Personal ist freundlich und steht täglich zur Verfügung. Wir kommen gern wieder!!!

喜欢 Super freundliche Betreiber / Angestellte, wir durften sogar weit nach CheckIn-Schluss noch auf den Platz!
Es gibt es alles, was man braucht: Außer dem Waschhaus mit Kochmöglichkeit auch einen Brötchen-Service, ein Restaurant, einen Essen/Getränke-Automat, Spielplatz Aufenthaltsraum, Spiel-Raum...
Die Lage ist super für verschiedenste Aktivitäten (mit Rad, Wandern...), die Bushaltestelle für den etwa 15-Minuten-Weg nach Oberstaufen (bzw. andere Richtung Österreich) ist direkt am Campingplatz.

喜欢 Fajnie, wysoko położone miejsce dla namiotow z pięknym widokiem na dolinę. Ładne prysznice, dostępne automaty z napojami, pomieszczenie ze stołami.

不喜欢 Jednej krowy podeszły podeszły sam namiot i dzwoniły tak, ze trudno było zasnąć :)

Summer visitors to the Allgäu have access to scenic pathways wending their way through alpine foothills. Trips on the Hündlebahn gondola (10 minutes’ drive) lead to family hikes in the rugged, forest-clad Nagelfluhkette Nature Park, while the Hochgrat cable car (15 minutes) leads up to the region’s namesake highest peak for numerous walking trails, a kids’ play area and several sun-trap picnic spots with far-reaching views over the massif. Daring families can test their collective mettle on the high-speed Alpsee Bergwelt summer toboggan run (15 minutes). If you prefer calmer pursuits, make a beeline for the spa treatments, saunas and waterslides at Wonnemar Sonthofen, or take in the spectacular mountain views from the infinity swimming pool at Alpenfreibad Scheidegg (both half an hour). Of course, there’s masses to do in winter too; you can access groomed cross-country trails directly from the campsite, along with slopes for tobogganing-mad families and tracks for winter hikers. There are also ski runs for all levels of ability at the resorts of Hochlitten (10 minutes) and Hochhäderich (25 minutes).
