Cracking spot with stunning mountain and lake views, plenty of space and dead quiet. Clean facilities, easy check-in, breakfast & bread available. Kayak hire is a doddle. BUT, some had booking mix-ups with Pitchup, no record of their stay, and no refunds. Lake was shut for some, no evening craic or shop. Toilets were basic, getting a spruce-up.

Liked Emplacement ombragé non négligeable avec ces fortes chaleurs. Plusieurs point d’accès d’eau proche. La vue est plus que plaisante avec le lac au pied du camping. Le village est simple et agréable. L’équipe est disponible et sympathique.

Disliked Dommage un seul bloc sanitaire est disponible pour l’ensemble du camping.

Disliked Problème eau chaude pour douche et pour faire la vaisselle.
Pas assez d'informations sur le site pour expliquer que nous ne pouvions pas se baigner au lac. Emplacement pas assez délimiter.

Liked L'ombre dans l'emplacement que j'ai choisi finalement car on m'a proposé des emplacements au soleil en me confirmant que c'est seulement pour 2h dans toute la journée

Manque d'organisation, contrairement à ce qui est mentionné, le choix de l'emplacement n'était pas formalisé à l'arrivée..on m'a montré des emplacements et y'a plus personne pour la suite pour l'enregistrement..le paiement est fait à la sortie le dernier jour avec un supplément qui n'a pas été dans la facture validée initialement sous prétexte de participation éco responsable

Mooie plek voor camping

Disliked Geen vermelding dat het meer gesloten was, is voor de helft uitgedroogd. Klant onvriendelijke receptionist, was bij de pech van de auto niet bereid tot helpen.
Niemand die bij overlast van buren/geluid in de avond controles deed. Tijdens hittegolf dus niet in het meer kunnen zwemmen en daarnaast waren het zwembad en de douches warm overdag (die overigens niet warm waren in de ochtend). Camping is ver rijden van bezienswaardigheden (minimaal 30min rijden). Geen wc-brillen?

Liked Booked for three nights but reception kindly suggested that due to the Lake being closed we could stay one, two or three nights.
We stayed one.

Disliked The Lake is closed. No where advises this.
Booked for use of the Lake.
We paid a 15% deposit via pitch up which wasn't deducted from our balance.
Yes we didn't stay the full time booked as it wasn't as advertised and was offered by site.
Pitch up don't want to know and apparently not sites issue. Paid nightly rate and went on our way.

Local attractions

Camping Sous Le Moulin is in a spectacular countryside setting among the hills, forests and lakes of the Jura region, next to the village of Condes. Direct access to the lake means lots of water-based fun that includes boating, windsurfing, waterskiing, canoeing and fishing for pike, perch, carp and trout, and as the cliffs overlooking the site are home to plenty of rare species including peregrine falcons, red kites, swans, grey heron and chamois, this a popular haunt for wildlife spotters and birdwatchers too. Outdoor activity options in the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park include hang-gliding and paragliding from Chancia-Montcusel, horse riding in Massiat, and canyoning and climbing trips a little further afield in Vevy – all you need to do is decide which one to do first. A short drive will bring you to cultural Oyonnax, where in addition to lots of respectable restaurants there are also cinemas and concert halls aplenty, plus a museum dedicated to the city's plastics heritage with exhibits that display plasticky pieces from all over the world. For a good mix of l'histoire and le spectacle, visit the ruins of Château d'Oliferne, just south of the site, where there's a 1.5-kilometre walk punctuated by historic monuments and views over the Ain valley, or the Cathedral and Brou Royal Monastery in Bourg-en-Bresse, a flamboyant Gothic masterpiece that comprises unusual monastic buildings, a church and three cloisters. The Cerdon Caves and prehistoric theme park, just over 40 minutes' drive away, are well worth a visit; kids can get involved in workshops that will teach them how to hunt with spears, paint on cave walls, craft Neolithic pots and create fire from flint while you explore a subterranean cave network that emerges onto a viewing platform that overlooks the vineyards of Cerdon.
