Beautiful mountain views, perfect for Snowdon & Llanberis. Staff are sound, facilities are grand (showers £1/8min), campfires welcome. Pitches can be sloped. Great value & atmosphere, highly rated despite minor noise/cleanliness issues now sorted.

Beautiful views of the mountains and…
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Beautiful views of the mountains and easy access to the Snowdon trail. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. If you want to feel a bit like you’re wild camping while still having access to toilets, showers, and a kitchen, this is the perfect place for you.

A lovely location but the facilities were lacking.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Location and scenery. Friendly welcome.
Disliked Needs facilities near to the bottom fields. It's a long walk up a very steep hill to access the toilets and showers. There is a hostel at the bottom field so water and electric could be hooked up.
There needs to be speed limit signs along the road up to the campsite not just on the entrance to the field. Cars race up and down way too fast.
There are not enough toilets or showers to cater for a busy weekend.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.
Regarding the suggestion of providing water and electricity from the youth hostel, although it is located nearby, it is a completely separate business and is not affiliated with our campsite. Unfortunately, we cannot connect to or use the hostel's water or electricity supply, as it is privately owned and entirely separate from our own infrastructure.
In relation to vehicle speeds, the access road is a council-owned public highway and is subject to the village's standard 20 mph speed limit. As it is not our road, we are unable to install or enforce additional speed limit signage there. However, once vehicles enter our property, we have numerous signs throughout the yard reminding drivers to slow down, and we continue to encourage all visitors to drive carefully and respectfully.
We appreciate your comments regarding the number of toilets and showers during busy periods. Just over a year ago, we added two additional toilets to help ease the pressure on the main toilet block during peak times, and we continue to review our facilities and consider guest feedback as we look for ways to improve.
Thank you again for your comments, and we wish you all the best.
If you ever decide to stay there make sure you have earplugs .

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry that noise from other campers affected your stay.
We do carry out noise checks during the evening, but we are not able to stay up all night policing the behaviour of adults. Our strict no-noise policy is clearly printed on the camping tags issued at check-in, and we expect all guests to respect both the rules and their fellow campers.
While we do our best to maintain a peaceful campsite, we cannot prevent every instance of rule-breaking

Perfect wild camp spot for climbing Snowdon or other Welsh mountains
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Wild . PYO camping spot . Very friendly owner . Good facilities for a wild camp type place . Close to beautiful scenery and walks . We went to climb Snowdon and got a bus 5 minutes down the road to get to it ( some routes up Snowdon are available walking from the campsite
Disliked The ground was stoney underneath which made it very hard to pitch tent
