What customers say
A lovely spot by Lake Bala, grand for watersports. Staff are dead on and the place is spotless. Pitches are decent. Families love it for the quiet, though it can be busy and noisy in peak season. Some thought the WiFi could be better and wanted more dog walking spots.

Fantastic premium pitch
Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch (premium, lake view)
Liked The premium pitch, pricey but worth it. Amazing views, nice hard standing area with even an extra area for chairs etc so not sat on grass.
Disliked Had to reverse on so habitation door was on the side where the extra space was. But this ensures everyone has their privacy to the left of their pitch so I get it and wasn’t really a bother just a learning curve 🤣

Fantastic site, clean facilities, friendly staff and access to a lake
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked We arrived Saturday afternoon and were greeted by a friendly member of staff who was engaging and answered all questions without issue. My site was spacious with electric hook up and drinking water very close. There is WiFi but it's very basic so didn't bother using it.
I paid £5 to take my kayak on the lake which was the main reason for the stay.
There's separate toilet and shower blocks for female and male which are very clean.
Only downside is if it's busy there's no open space for ball games
Overall it's a fantastic campsite with everything you need

Fab stay! Would absolutely return
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Beautiful area. Shower block and facilities spotlessly clean. Pitch sizes great, everyone abided by the quiet times set out by the campsite. Fire pits available to hire from the reception
Disliked Would have liked to have been advised on the areas likely to flood!
We were in a tent and got flooded!

Nice enough and will be back in better weather 👌
Non-electric grass campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked Nice and quiet with lovely view of Lake Bala and very easy access to the lake if you want. Amenities are decent and clean and site is well set out. Owner was nice and sorted any extra requests out for me last minute.
Disliked If you want to go to Bala or to the nearby Railway its a bit out of the way but there is a bus from the site entrance, although it's a bit random with times.

From the manager: We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.
To clarify, our Pitchup description states that guests are welcome to launch their own paddleboards and kayaks from our private shingle beach. Most visitors bring their own equipment to enjoy the lake. We don’t hire equipment ourselves, but we did advise you where paddleboards and kayaks can be hired locally.
As it is now low season, our reception is open only during the times displayed on the shop window. Any check-ins outside of these hours are managed over the phone. On this occasion, we were already on another call but phoned you back straight away once we had finished. We apologise if this caused any inconvenience.
As your stay was only for one night, we completely understand it may not have given you enough time to fully enjoy the unique beauty of Glanllyn and the surrounding area. Many of our guests find there is plenty to see and do both on-site and nearby.
