Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Friendly staff ,Very clean toilets and hot showers, large pitches .pub/restaurant on site .

Disliked: Dog walk was a 100 yard mud path.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We're glad that overall you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately due to the time of year the dog walk will be muddy, it is only meant to be an area for quick comfort breaks for the dogs as we have such lovely walks directly from the campsite. Kind regards Simon - Warden

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Everything! The pitches are a great size, so you are not on top of your neighbour. Greeted at reception, very helpful in advising which way to go to get to pitch. Dog walk area perfect for the quick morning / evening times, as we went out each day. All in all a beautiful, peaceful site. Looking forward to our New Years Eve stay!!

Disliked: Nothing!

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Rhuallt is a beautiful and clean site, Jimmy the warden was very helpful from the moment we arrived. Having a pub at the front is good and great food. From our pitch you couldn't hear noise if there was any from the pub. Definitely going back it's a great base for your day trips out. Toilet and shower facilities are moden, clean and warm and a free to use hairdryer.

Disliked: Only thing missing is a shop on site just for basics bits.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hi Linda. Thank you for your review, We're glad you enjoyed your stay and got a chance to sample the delights of the pub and restaurant. We have considered a shop but feel the turn over of stock would be too low at the present moment. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. Jimmy & Simon (Warden Team)

Liked: 2nd time we’ve stayed at Rhuallt Country Park, it’s ideally situated not far from the motorway to access all the local towns. The site itself is spotless, including the shower block. The wardens are friendly and helpful too. Nice pub and restaurant on site too. Highly recommended

Disliked: WiFi could be a bit better!

From the manager: Hi Catherine. Thanks for your review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We always try our best to sort out the weather, but there is a reason why the grass in Wales is always so green. We try to keep are charges as reasonable as possible. Local attractions

Did you know there is such a thing in the world as a people-powered rollercoaster? There is indeedy, at nearby GreenWood Forest Park, home of the planet's only human-powered rollercoaster and several times voted best family attraction in Wales. This is an eco-friendly activity centre with rides, live shows, play areas, crafts and furry/feathered inhabitants: prepare to spend the full day... On the coast, check out the water-powered critters (sharks!) of SeaQuarium at Rhyl, or take trips around the coastline to Prestatyn, Abergele, Conwy Bay and onto Wales's biggest seaside resort Llandudno: another record breaker is here as the town has the longest toboggan run in Britain. Snowdonia National Park is to the west of Rhuallt and is probably the most-visited area for walkers in this part of Wales, but hiking types have heaps more to pick from, like the Clwydian Range and the Vale of Clwyd inland and the Llŷn Peninsula and coastal paths of Anglesey towards the water. The National Cycle Network Route 5 runs along the fairly easy miles from Rhyl to Prestatyn, but if you fancy something a bit more hair-raising, mountain biking trails like the ones at Coed Llandegla Forest are easy to get to from Rhuallt Country Park and have lanes divided by ability so that the experienced can really hurtle along.
