General

  • Luxury and peaceful glamping near Betws-y-Coed
  • Packed breakfast hamper on arrival
  • Towels, dressing gowns, hairdryers and straighteners all available

Some serious luxury goes on for guests at Llwyn Onn near Betws-y-Coed in Conwy: if you want glamping with tiptop facilities and heaps of thoughtful little touches, among spectacular Welsh scenery in a secluded setting, you'll likely want to book a stay here forthwith.

Llwyn Onn is a peaceful site near the hikes of the Berwyn mountain range, in a popular walking area about 20 minutes from Betws-y-Coed and with views of the Snowdonia mountain range on clear days. It has glamping units set in four distinct large areas of soft grass separated by hedges and trees surrounded by dry stone walls to protect from wind, all with parking close by.

Each unit is fully furnished with double beds, bedding, plenty of rugs and cushions, blankets/shawls for sitting outside by your firepit, lighting and electric sockets. Logs and kindling can be bought from the team if needed. And more serious luxury: you'll receive a breakfast hamper on arrival with all you'll need for morning meals during your stay – and if you need eggs, you can collect them fresh every evening from the hen house.

The swish site amenities include a newly refurbished male and female shower block with flushing toilets, hot showers and wash hand basins, and – yet more luxury – towels, dressing gowns, hairdryers and straighteners all provided. Guests also have use of the kitchen area with hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer, coffee machine, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils, along with a dining and sitting area with big woodburning stove.

And finally… if you're glamping at Llwyn Onn for a special occasion, the friendly owners can arrange flowers, chocolates, balloons or other bits and pieces for when you arrive: just let them know using the 'special requests' feature when you book.

Claire was a fantastic host, we were constantly made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We visited the hut for my partners 30th birthday and she even did a wonderful display of Prosecco and balloons and birthday banners. The facilities are great, every need is thought of! The hut was well equipped with everything we could need, towels, robes, heater and even umbrellas! The communal area is great for cooking and playing games too!

We would definitely return in the future! Fabulous stay here and would definitely recommend!

We have just spent 3 lovely nights at Llwyn Onn in The Hut. As a place to stay its absolutely fantastic. The Hut was spacious enough for us both and a large Golden Retriever with everything catered for and thought of. Lots of lovely little touches that we didnt expect. The breakfast basket was plentiful for 3 mornings and the Eggs super lush. Claire is a lovely person and host who even text us in the morning when the Kingfisher arrived unfortunately was outside and missed the text and the Kingfisher grrrr. Ranger, Booboo, Django and Yogi the Alpacas are lovely as are the chickens who roam freely around the site. For positioning Llwyn Onn is perfect to travel from to Snowdonia and the various other beauty spots in and around the National Park. Highly recomended as a place to stay, you 100% will not be disappointed. Thanks for everything Claire, Chris and Di x

Had the most beautiful peaceful few nights stay at the hut. We enjoyed making friends with the alpacas and chickens on the site. The hut was fully equipped with everything that was needed for our stay and lots of little thoughtful gestures. The breakfast hamper was fabulous and came with lots of lovely goodies. The site itself has the most beautiful views of snowdon mountain range. Claire was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. Thankyou for a lovely little break away from home.

The shepherd’s hut was lovely and so comfortable. It had a window at one end with a view of the mountains. We had everything we needed and more. Plenty of food, stuff to have a fire, even outdoor blankets and marshmallows. Claire had thought of everything! Lovely to have chickens and alpacas for company too. Only a short drive from Betws-y-Coed and Snowdonia, and just off the A5 so easy access.

A perfect little getaway. I stayed in 'the hut' which had fabulous views and was very comfortable. Claire, the host, was very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast hamper was brilliant and very generous. Bathrooms, kitchen/dining area and my hut were all immaculately clean. Every little attention to detail was thought of, you could not want for a more relaxing and comfortable holiday. I will definitely return.

We had the best time!! Right from arrival, we were delighted with the stay - everything was thought about and we quickly realised we'd massively overpacked! You get real peace and quiet, your own privacy and the most incredible view. We were lucky to get two beautiful sunsets while we bbq'd too. The beds were super comfy, and there were even marshmallows (vegan provided which was extra thoughtful) with sticks for the firepit.
There was a nice pub less then ten minutes' walk away, and Claire (who was the best host) took time to chat to us, find out what we were wanting to do, and give us some great tips which we followed. Llyn Brenig is worth a wander around.
The kitchen area with games is a bonus if you're not up for bbq'ing and the food hamper was such a thoughtful touch.
We spent loads of time while we were there discussing whether to extend another night, when to come back, and who to bring with us!
