What customers say

Grand spot, spotless and well-kept, with a staff that'll bend over backwards for ya. Pitches are grand, some with all the trimmings. Showers and loos are immaculate. Pizza van's a bonus! A bit of road noise but quiet enough mostly. River walks and free-roaming chickens a big hit.

Liked Everything was lovely. Pitches are a great size. Bathrooms and showers are super clean and the chickens are a great morning alarm. The Pizza truck was an added surprise. Delicious .

Disliked The GPS took us basically to a farm next door, where a kind couple directed to the right location. They said it happens a lot. BUT this had nothing to do with the campsite. Highly recommend staying here.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Friendly welcome and great to have a fully serviced pitch after a long journey. Toilets and showers were all close by and the pizza van being next to us made the decision about dinner. It was delicious!
Dog walk nearby was ok. There's another walk across there road which someone said was better.

Disliked Very close to a fast road but it did get quieter into the evening. The touring pitches were all gravel and there was a lot of traffic going through from the rest of the site as well as people coming to get pizza so not a peaceful site if you're touring.
Showers were those overhead ones which aren't great. Careful when you're leaving the site especially if you're turning right. It's on a bend and cars will be going fast!

Liked Good, clean and quiet facilities.
Nice walk along river along the abbey borders way to Hawick next to the campsite is centrally located to Hawick and Jedburgh.

Disliked Very exposed pitch. Felt like everyone was bypassing us even though it wasn’t a busy site.
Road noise was very apparent in the day.
Static caravans are the only riverside pitches. No option to select if not in a static caravan.

Local attractions

Wander along the River Teviot, go nature spotting, or hire a bike from the Riverside team for Borders days close to the park; much more of the outdoorsy same is at spectacular Kielder Forest over the border in Northumberland 45 minutes' drive south. Scottish Borders town days are plentiful around here too, with Hawick under 10 minutes' drive from the park, Jedburgh 15 and Kelso 20. Half an hour away, Selkirk is where William Wallace was famously declared guardian of Scotland; three miles from there, have an afternoon at Bowhill House for more woodland walks and dramatic antics from its on-site theatre.
