The park is family run, on 10 acres of mature parkland and Scottish Borders wildlife haven with easy access to local hiking, walking, cycling and horse riding, as well as discounted golf at a Riverside sister site Lillardsedge Holiday Park & Golf Course 20 minutes' drive away. And if you don't want to leave the grounds to get active? Simply sorted, as a woodland walk awaits and free fishing is available to all guests. Riverside has modern amenities including eco-friendly toilets and showers, a disabled area, a baby changing facility, a washing-up area and a launderette. Pets are welcome and stay for free. The market town of Hawick is two and a half miles away.

A lovely, well-kept spot. Staff are sound, pitches are grand and spacious. Riverside views and walks are a treat. Mostly peaceful, though road noise is a bit of a bother. Chickens are a hit (watch your dogs!). Pizza van’s a bonus.

Liked Small quiet site for tourers
Lovely clean toilets/ showers.
Chickens wandering about was quiet nice, although they rather frustrated my dog.
Good walks along river both sides of the road allowing our dog to be off lead.
WiFi signal was excellent

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The staff were so friendly and helpful, they allowed us to stay in a motorhome pitch with our roof tent as we had a ground tent to pitch next to it. The pitches were right next to the showers and toilets, a picnic table and a small park for kids which was perfect as it allowed them to play safely while we were set up. The facilities were clean with everything that was needed.

Wander along the River Teviot, go nature spotting, or hire a bike from the Riverside team for Borders days close to the park; much more of the outdoorsy same is at spectacular Kielder Forest over the border in Northumberland 45 minutes' drive south. Scottish Borders town days are plentiful around here too, with Hawick under 10 minutes' drive from the park, Jedburgh 15 and Kelso 20. Half an hour away, Selkirk is where William Wallace was famously declared guardian of Scotland; three miles from there, have an afternoon at Bowhill House for more woodland walks and dramatic antics from its on-site theatre. Swimming pools and a soft play centre are at Teviotdale Leisure Centre, five minutes' drive away.
