General

  • Adults-only farm site with views over the Mendip Hills
  • Clevedon 15 minutes' drive; Weston-super-Mare 30 minutes
  • Barbecues welcome; firepits (with logs and kindling) available to hire

Yeo Bank Farm is a peaceful adults-only campsite surrounded by Somerset countryside. With views over the Mendip Hills and easy access to the coast, this back to basics spot is set on a family-run farm near the small village of Kingston Seymour.

Yeo Bank Farm is crisscrossed by streams and rhines (local drainage channels commonly found in Somerset, Gloucestershire and other parts of the West Country), so ducks and other waterfowl are frequent visitors to the site. Six acres are given over to camping and guest numbers are limited, so you'll have plenty of room to set up your kit or to light up a barbecue.

This is a simple site with a shower and toilets, which benefit from regular cleaning. Running water is also included. Firepits are available to hire on site and include logs, kindling, matches and firelighters in the price.

Yeo Bank Farm is about a mile and a half from the village centre, where there is a post office. It's two miles to the nearest fishery and café and a similar distance to the coast. The nearest sizeable town is Clevedon (15 minutes' drive), which is also on the coast and has plenty of food shops, takeaways and pubs.

    Travelling in VW campervan.
Very peaceful area. A little off the beaten track with access along a narrow road.
Field was large, pitch was generous and level (despite the initial impression due to slight dips between the pitches).
Site owners very friendly and helpful.
Almost every pitch has a fire pit and wood available from the site owner.
Facilities quite basic, being a porta-loo and a calor powered shower, but were regularly kept very clean by the site owners.
Only cold water for washing up but soap, sanitizer, and bowls provided but an amazing price in high season!
"Choose your site according to your needs" - This site suited us perfectly. We really liked staying here and wish there were more basic sites like this one.

Very friendly welcome from the owners.
    Lots of pitch space!!!
Laid back site (no over-the-top rules).
No children - this was brilliant mid-summer holidays!
Campfires allowed - the owner brings bags of firewood to sell - so no need to go hunting for wood.
    The facilities cleaned every morning.
The calves in the field next door were super cute.
Lots of wildlife due to the waterways.
Good location to local towns and Bristol approx 30 mins away.
This is a basic site - don't expect all the fancy trimmings. Though, absolutely perfect for what we wanted - which was space, quiet, and wildlife.
    We'll be back!

    Disliked:

Could do with a cover over the washing up area - we didn't need to use it due to being in a campervan but there was rain and I did wonder that if I needed to wash up stuff then I'd not be best pleased doing it in the rain or exposed.
