Safari-style amusement is on the cards at Woodlands Park (15 minutes’ drive), where real-life farm animals and zoo-themed rides are likely to keep kids entertained. If you haven’t already, you’ll certainly find your wild side at Dartmoor Zoo (35 minutes). The larger animals are a nice contrast to the cute-faced farm animals at Pennywell Farm (half an hour). As the name implies, the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (10 minutes) holds many splendid sights, great for cycling or hiking between estuaries and sandy bays.
