What customers say
Lovely views, sound staff & good amenities like the food hut. Pitches are grand and clean. Coastal path access is a bonus, but mind the steep steps to the beach. Great for families with play areas. Some noted road noise and longer walks to facilities on higher pitches.

Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch (sea view, sloping)
Liked Great location, loads of nearby beaches, can have some lovely long walks in both directions to llfracombe or Combe Martin, beautiful view from ocean view camping, the food on site was nice and good portion size/price, toilets and showers kept clean & friendly staff.

Fantastic, well run campsite, will be back
Hiker non-electric grass tent pitch (no cars)
Liked Everything. Good price for solo travelers, clean, excellent facilities, nice bar, fantastic food outlet (Mexican) I was hiking the coastal path and this was the best campsite by far. (Out of 19)

Excellent site
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Play area, pitch sizes, showers, kids cabin, food theme nights and proximity to watermouth castle theme park and the sawmill restaurant.
Disliked Could do with more and better handdryers in toilets.
Personal but the kitchen sinks for washing seems really low.

Absolutely our favourite campsite we have found so far
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked This is our second stay here this year…Stunning location, friendly staff, excellent bar area and themed food every night. Great children’s play area and games room, toilet/shower blocks are well kept. Difficult to fault this place. We were given the choice of a non electric pitch in the valley or a sea view, we went for sea view, the view was stunning!
Disliked WiFi didn’t quite reach our pitch at the top of the hill, but the view made up for it 😃

Nice view of sea but tent pitches are sloped; only semi-clean bathrom
Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch (sea view, sloping)
Liked Good view, and good area
Disliked Website states a slight slope but the majority of the sea view field is on a big gradient. Enough to wake up at the bottom of the tent.
No where to charge phone when needed without paying a ton.
The staff can sometimes be rude.
The bathrooms were not cleaned often enough and we're left in an unpleasant way.

From the manager: Thank you for your review, although inaccurate.
The field you booked, and as advertised is partially sloped (not all, but some) - please bear in mind the cost of this is £25, and you chose the cheapest option when booking.
The phone charging system has worked really well for our customers. Electricity is expensive and we consider £3 for 24 hours of charging multiple devices to be fair. We are not a large company who can 'shoulder' people charging whenever they want, in whatever socket they can find.
In addition, our bathrooms are cleaned many times a day and spot checked religiously. I do believe you have taken a swipe at our cleaning team to be spiteful.
We wish you good luck in finding an alternative camp site for £25 a night with the facilities provided here.
Lovely family site, great facilities and good value.
Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch (sea view, sloping)
Liked Main facilities block is lovely. Big spacious bathrooms with shower, toilet and sink.
Food every evening - we had pizza and chippy night, but Mexican also looked excellent. All good value for money and the bar is also excellent with undercover seating too if it rains. Staff very friendly.
Pub literally backing onto the campsite so not far to go if you fancy a meal out or a drink (especially if raining).
Disliked Sea view (unallocated) doesnt have a great sea view as the allocated pitches are blocking your view (2 rows of them) and the pitches are quite closely packed so unless you can see through someone else's van or tent, you'll be lucky to actually get a sea view. This is fine if you know, but not so clear on the pitch when booking (highly restricted sea view, is more reality).
No other dislikes (although a lot of children screaming, they did all get quiet by the curfew so very positive).
Also note - this is not the campsites fault but there is now NO ACCESS to the local beach due to a landslip so sadly you'll need to drive somewhere and take all your stuff.

*Good Facilities
*Bar and food available every night
*Plenty for kids to do

Disliked *Some pitches are close to the road (there are plenty of trees between but still had noise, so just be aware)
