Lovely, spotless site with grand pitches & top facilities. Staff are brilliant, creating a chilled vibe. Perfect for exploring Cornwall, near the beach. Minor points: shop hours & lukewarm showers. Great for a return visit.

Electric grass pitch

Liked We recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic campsite near Porthtowan Beach, and I can't recommend it enough! The cleanliness of the site was impressive; everything was spotless, The facilities were well-maintained and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Pitch’s were a great size and perfect camping ground. Our 2 boys aged 12 & 13 enjoyed the park and the milkshakes! The WiFi was a bonus!!
We luckily arrived for the visiting pizza trucks last visit and the pizza was delicious!!

The owners were incredibly welcoming and Their friendliness made our time there even more enjoyable.

The location couldn't be better—just a short 5 min drive to the beautiful Porthtowan Beach (or 20min walk with hills) If you're looking for a perfect camping getaway, this is the place to be!

Liked What is there not to like. Great site, clean, organised, well managed, hot showers and bathrooms clean. Friendly and helpful staff.
Shop on site / homemade pancakes / pizza 1 x weekly. Large safe play park for children. You can see why it has been awarded 5 star platinum . Our 4th stay on the site and will be returning.

Very friendly and helpful staff.

Disliked Only one small dislike. Strange shop opening hours. Closed at lunchtime and after 6pm when usually are the times when people need something from the shop or fancy milkshake / ice cream.

Local attractions

Stick to the north coast area, venture inland, or head down to Falmouth and the south coast, all within easy driving distance of here. Within walking distance, the beach of Porthtowan is a popular spot for surfers and families, with plenty of rockpools and caves to explore around its scenic wide stretch of sand. The site is also a short walk from the South West Coast Path – hike the up and down trail to Portreath four or so miles west – and near the Mineral Tramways trail, 14 mostly traffic-free miles from Portreath to Devoran down on the south coast near Falmouth. Shops, restaurants, bars and river boat trips are all at Truro a few miles away; also take time to see the museum, and, if you're around on Wednesday or Saturday, to mooch around the Truro farmers' market on Lemon Quay. Gardens? Several are in the area, with the National Trust's Trerice and Glendurgan the closest to the site. Or gold? Take a trip to Cornwall Gold Centre on the Portreath Road, to pan for gold, have a go at pottery, or just look significantly at your significant other over the gold, silver and pearl jewellery for sale. For family cycling or walking, Tehidy Country Park just outside Portreath is flat and buggy-friendly, and leads out to spectacular views for smashing picnics. More actively, try SK8 Skate Park and The Track, Sithians Lake for watersports and Camel Creek Adventure Park at Wadebridge.
