What customers say

Lovely spot, easy on the wallet, with plenty of room. Staff are sound, near the shops and coast. Hot showers, charging, and a shared kitchen with fridge/freezer are a bonus. Mostly clean, but a few said more showers and better draining would be grand. Some reviews mentioned a bit of mess and old gear.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Tresco Farm provides all a camper needs in a site. Level pitches and good facilities. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again should we be in North Cornwall. St Merryn is a short walk and has really good shops, take aways and restaurants. Harlyn bay is slightly further with other accessible beaches and walks.

Disliked Nothing.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Ease of booking and check in. Field was ideal.

Disliked Excessive noise at night was not regulated. Other campers had to do so. The owners should patrol after a certain time to ensure anti social behaviour does not happen.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Affordable, spacious, fantastic location for St Merryn, local beaches and access to the A30 to access other areas of Cornwall. Basic in a good way - no games rooms or entertainment.

Disliked N/A - more showers would be good but more facilities would likely increase the price. I simply got up early and never had to wait for the shower.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Spacious pitches, quiet, access to a hot shower and phone charging point (very handy). Even has a fridge/freezer to use.

Disliked The women’s shower was cold when I used it sadly. I used the men’s on a different day which was good.
The site is quite exposed so when the winds are high your tent gets a bit battered.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Laid back check in process, quiet site for the time of year and lots of space to choose from albeit a bit slopey!

Facilities were clean.

Utility area was great, especially the large fridge.

Disliked I was unable to get a warm shower despite following the instructions for when the water goes cold. I would have preferred single sex toilet facilities and would not have booked if I realised they were mixed.

The lights were off in the toilets during the night and I couldn't work out how to turn them on!

Local attractions

With so much choice in the way of beaches and coastal hikes, you’ll want to weigh up your options. To go to Constantine Bay (five minutes’ drive), a sandy destination with excellent swimming and rockpooling? Or Harlyn Bay (10 minutes), another sandy spot that has kayaking and paddleboard hire, coasteering activities and a surf school for those of you looking to catch your first wave? There’s Treyarnon Bay (10 minutes) to brush up on your surf skills some more and Mother Ivey's Bay (10 minutes) if you’re searching for a more sheltered sandy bay. As for other ways to take in the gorgeous coastline, head to Padstow (10 minutes) to board a boat from the fishing port or Trevose Headland (10 minutes) to go birdwatching along the National Trust's clifftops. The following both have camel in the name, but they’re very fine activities with a different spin: Camel Creek Adventure Park (10 minutes) is packed with family-friendly rides and animals that the kids can meet up close, while The Camel Trail (10 minutes) is an 18-mile old railway trail that will take you on a cycle from Padstow, past the estuary and into Wadebridge.
