Tresco Farm

A aimé Beautiful area, and the lack of light at night meant that star gazing could be done perfectly.
I've never seen the milk way look like that.
Good sizes toilet block, multiple showers, good sized area to pitch meant you weren't on top of one another!

N'a pas aimé Only complaints will be the lack of bin space (there were a few families camped, so ALOT of rubbish in the bin meant it had begun to overflow)

And it not being quite as close to Padstow as we thought (we weren't driving so had to get taxis in, online it stipulates about a mile out of Padstow, when it's actually 2.5)

Other than that, amazing little place.

A aimé I chose Tresco Farm as they had a great price for solo travellers which I'd not seen before and it had a freezer! Turns out it was a fridge/freezer, those who rely on cool boxes while camping will know they can only work so hard, so a freezer for the blocks was a great idea, the fridge was a bonus. Also having phone charging facilities 10/10. Shower and toilet blocks were clean and maintained. Kitchen area was also clean and everything you need including a kettle and microwave. Pitched where you wanted, plenty of space. Close to St Merryn village which had a Spar, fish n chip shop, Chinese takeaway, pub serving food and a petrol station. Just under 2 miles from the beach. As a solo traveller I felt safe and had everything I needed.

A aimé Everything. Great showers, plenty of space, not noisy, clean, charging facilities, fridge, microwave, walling distance to restaurants and loads of beaches.

A aimé Great communication from owner, flexible to add on another person at short notice after booking. Basic facilities but perfectly functional and great for low cost price paid. Plenty of space to pitch. Suggest having chocks/blocks if in a van in case no flat spaces left.

A aimé The chilled atmosphere how close to the beaches it is being able to use a fridge and freezer it's never toooooo busy!! Toilets kept on top off throughout our stay the kids had freedom to roam around all in all would definitely be back!!

N'a pas aimé Not a dislike more just a bit of feedback the two old cubicles that were showers could be turned into toilets to avoid a queue that would sometimes form not often but sometimes 🙈 and that is me being picky we love this campsite!!!

A aimé Bell tent was spacious and well pitched. Great location for exploring the north coast. Low price. Fridge and freezer handy although other inconsiderate with the amount kept in there and had done and entire weekly shop for a large family!

N'a pas aimé Lack of owner/manager presence meant low noise curfew was not enforced so loud noise from others on the site until midnight some nights which did not suit us as have young children who are up at 5.30am! And use of unsafe fires in very dry weather.
No recycling which was disappointing. When staff came to empty the bin he kindly took our recycling to put in his own.
Bell tents close to toilets, wash up and exit so busy with people and cars.
Fresh water and waste disposal not signed.
Only 3 toilets.
Shower temperature not adjustable and was too hot for the children.
