- The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
- Group bookings of 4 or more units (e.g. tent, touring caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
- Group bookings of 4 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
- Single-sex bookings of 4 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
- No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
- Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.
- Guests under the age of 15 are not allowed on site.
- The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.
- Reception is unmanned after 8 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.
- At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.
- This is a quiet site: no music is allowed.
- If making a fire, the fuel, logs and coal have to be purchased on site.
- Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
- No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.

Liked: Views were stunning
Disliked: Toilets filthy, showers were cold, dirty and just a trickle. Vines were growing through the shower roof. The pictures of the toilets on the website are from 2014 and it's clear they have not been maintained.
The free roaming farm dogs peed on our tent doors twice and chased and growled at my on lead dog!
The ground was so stony we struggled to get tent pegs in.
There was a large group in the railway pods that were partying into the early hours. We had booked 2 nights but left early the next day.
We couldn't address any of these issues at the time because the owner's phone just rang out then went to answer machine several times

Liked: Friendly welcome and amazing views! Lots of free to use fire pits although they ask you to only use wood bought from them. Roaming sheep goats and ducks so make sure to zip your tent up!
Disliked: Turns out it’s a lot further than a 30min walk to a pub, a 4 mile round trip on foot which after a day walking proved a step too far

It as a beautiful place in a warm family farm.
The animals were amazing the people were amazing first ever 10/10 in 30 years of using sites like this.
Disliked: Noting, loved everything.

Liked: Lovely site in a quiet, gorgeous area. Lots of wildlife and farm animals on site, very friendly farm dogs! I liked the fact it had in-built showers and toilets for use - well maintained and easy access.
Louise and John were so friendly and welcoming- we purchased wood from them and used the fire pits provided. It was lovely!
A 20minute drive from Coniston, we completed the Old Man of Coniston hike whilst there - lots more to do around the area. Well worth a visit!
Disliked: The ground is rock hard from lack of rain and generally rocky terrain with it being within a valley - we really struggled to pitch the tent in the ground and tried multiple locations on the site but it was all rock hard. Definitely bring really strong tent pegs or even something more substantial, and a strong mallet!
Louise and John were so lovely and lended us some strong yard nails to use to pitch the tent - can’t thank them enough for ensuring we were able to pitch safely!

Liked: The layout was lovely, very spacious and plenty of amenities to use! The ground is very rocky in parts so bring your good pegs! The dogs on the farm are very friendly and came and sat with us numerous times which was really nice. And we also had visits from the sheep on the farm! Louise was lovely and made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We were informed it was a no music site which we didn’t know via the website so be mindful of that!
Disliked: I plugged my charger into the wood cabin and someone unplugged it to charge their things which was annoying, however there are plenty of plugs in the showers which I found out on the last night which came in very handy. The shower pressure was very weak when I showered but no one else had any issues so maybe it was just the time of day I showered!

Liked: Owners were laid back and helpful - plenty of choice for pitches. Beautiful and peaceful site with a variety of lovely farm animals roaming around the farmyard. Would definitely return if in the area.
