What customers say
This quiet adults-only spot gets the thumbs up for its calm vibe & gorgeous woods. Reviewers rave about the spotless, modern loos & showers – some say they're class! Pitches are grand: flat, roomy & hooked up. Great base for rambling & biking. Midges & dodgy signal are the only quibbles.

Fab quiet site, clean and brilliant for star gazing
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Clean, small site with lovely toilet/shower washing up and clothes washing facilities
Quiet, dark skies really respectful other guests hardly any noise and the site was full. Minimum fuss check in and lots of info on nearby activities in the phone box on site. Loved this site and we were lucky to have a clear night - the stars were amazing and the milky way was visible. We would hugely recommend and we will definitely be back.
Handy that there is a petrol station in Keilder really close to site. The WiFi isn’t good but we did not expect there to be any (u need to park at top of site to get the WiFi)
Easy access to the rest of the forest
Disliked Nothing too much, maybe the mosquitoes and bitey flying things!

If you like stargazing, this is the place for you.

Liked Nice toilet block.
Disliked No phone (EE) or TV signal and the WiFi only covers the first three pitches. Dogs running around off leads. Sounds silly but nowhere to put your soap when in the shower and you have to almost get off the loo to get the toilet paper.

Liked Lovely quiet site with stunning views. Toilet and shower block exceptional and very clean, so much attention to detail with full pot washing facilities and even a washing machine. Place was spotless and very tranquil.
Disliked There was a mix up with over booking and we ended up in the owners garden with electric hook up and water. Fab view and the owners did everything they could to fix the problem.

After staying on a commercial site…
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked After staying on a commercial site for the previous two nights this site was a breath of fresh air. What a little gem. Spacious well laid out fully serviced hard standing pitches. Lovely site with beautiful views. It was so peaceful and relaxing I wish we could have stayed longer. Perfectly positioned to do the Kielder Forest drive and visit the castle. There are also some lovely woodland walks around the site. The toilets and showers were immaculate. I will definitely return again.
