What customers say
A quiet, big site with flat pitches around the field's edge, leaving loads of room for kids to play in the middle. Facilities are usually clean and well-kept, with popular vending machines for drinks. Liz, the owner, is dead sound and helpful. Some say showers are a bit scarce and it can get windy, but it's brilliant value and a great spot for seeing the sights.

Great simple campsite in a beautiful location
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked We loved this quiet campsite. The pitches were spacious, loads of room to be private and not be pitched too close to neighbours which made for a peaceful trip. We liked that the pitches were all around the edge of the field so there was plenty of space for the children to play. Great flat pitch with beautiful views. The facilities were just what was needed for a simple camping trip, the fridge and freezer for keeping ice packs and food, toilets and showers really clean and well stocked.
Children loved the vending machine for milkshakes, nice to be able to buy fresh eggs there and the local honey looked good too!
Liz was very helpful if anything was needed.
The location was ideal for us as we wanted to visit a few coastal locations as well as some of the nice villages round and about and NYMR, everywhere we went was within a 15-20 minute drive so it was a great base. We enjoyed it so much we contemplated booking an extra night or two but had to get back home unfortunately. Will definitely stay here again.
Disliked Having to leave!

A lovely clean campsite with all…
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked A lovely clean campsite with all the basic amenities needed for a lovely stay, plus an excellent bonus of a milkshake vending machine which proved very popular with guests and locals. 11mins from Whitby and located in the most beautiful countryside, this camp is a real hidden gem and we will definitely return. We may even hire one of their Bell tents next time, they looked amazing. Liz was an amazing host and was never for away if you needed anything. The site also offers a range of additional items to make the stay even more memorable, such as fire put hire, logs and marshmallow toasting kits. We brought our own and that was fine too, we even enjoyed a lovely BBQ. We would highly recommend this site.

Love the campsite and everything you need, will keep returning
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Brilliant campsite and have been a couple of times now. Mainly flat pitches and plenty of room. Host is friendly and helpful should you need anything.
Disliked Only one shower for males and one for females. Could really do with an extra shower to accommodate the number of people using the campsite and ideally separate/away from the toilet.
Not the best experience having a shower whilst someone could be pushing one out right next to you lol.

A nice place to visit but would I go again at peak times probably not
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The site is in a nice location and the owner is very cheery and welcoming
The facilities are clean
Disliked Although the facilities are clean they are inadequate for the amount of pitches
Around 30 pitched
But only 6 toilets and 2 showers which are are in the small porta cabin next to the toilet with only one small sink, it needs at least double the amount of toilets.
