A lovely, peaceful spot with great staff. Pitches are good, and the facilities get top marks for cleanliness. The cafe's a hit. A few Wi-Fi grumbles, but most can't wait to come back.

Liked Site set up was excellent and staff very friendly. Very nice site.
Disliked Only problem for us was the motorhome was too big to just drive out on a day & there wasn’t much out and about we could walk to, so generally stayed on site.

As for the size of your motorhome.....well....that's beyond our powers. You could get a smaller one? Or bikes? And we do have a super bus service that could whisk you to York (Minster, Railway Museum, historic walks, ghost trail, Betty's Tea Rooms and The Shambles) or Leeds Armouries, Helmsley or Fountains Abbey, Beninborough Hall or the heaven on earth that is the East Coast.....In the absence of a bike Shanks' Pony can take you anywhere as long as the batteries last.

Liked It's a very big site. The staff were very friendly. It was easy to find. There are lots of water stations. The wifi was good.
You need a fob to access the main gate, which felt secure.
There is a nice dog walking area.
The campsite was clean.
Disliked The facilities are a bit older and it could get a bit busy at peak times. It wasn't super dirty, but it wasn't super clean either.

Disliked Not a criticism of the site. Buses ran every two hours which was frustrating, but we know the area so it might not be a problem for anyone not familiar with the area.

Liked Fantastic hidden gem, well looked after grounds ,lovely little coffee shop really friendly staff and cricket club with great prices and a lovely barman martin , a very peaceful two night stay.
