What customers say

A grand little spot, peaceful and tidy, perfect for exploring Yorkshire. Folks reckon the owner, Andrew, is a top man, and the pitches are spotless. Showers are grand, but there's only a few. Pubs are close by. Many'll be back for sure.

Electric gravel touring caravan pitch

Liked This is a lovely quiet adults only site nestled in the village of Ebberston approximately seven miles from the small market town of Pickering and four miles from the little village of Thornton Le Dale. Whitby is a 40 minute drive and Scarborough a 30 minute drive so all within an acceptable drive away. We were met by Andrew the owner of the site, who politely showed us to our pitch. Andrew was always available and on hand to help with any issues or advice on the local area for the duration of our stay. The caravan pitches were nice and level and had enough room for an awning and to park your car to the side of your caravan. All pitches were serviced with water and electric and the waste disposal point was within a very short walk of all pitches. This is a great little site that’s quiet and has all of the essential amenities within a distance to explore the surrounding areas.

Electric gravel touring caravan pitch

Liked Loved everything about this stay there where 2 lady toilets with a sink in and 1 shower the same for the men’s it’s only a small site i don’t have to wait for the showers there was also a disabled toilet didn’t really look into that so not sure if there was a shower as well in it. There was a washing up sink a washer and dryer. The showers and sinks have taps no push buttons and in the shower there was a small stool as well as 2 coat handles and a little dish to up your soap and extras on. I also went to the toilets at night I didn’t need a torch as it was pretty lite up if at the bottom end of the field then May be but when you get near the toilets it’s lite up good

Electric gravel touring caravan pitch

Liked The site has lovely peaceful surroundings and spacious pitches. It is very well kept and the owner Andrew was very friendly and helpful. The pitches are level and fresh water was closed to hand.
The facilities were spotless.
It is very well situated for biking in Dalby forest and a ride up to robin hoods bay in the car took us about 45 minutes. Helmsley and a visit to the market on Friday is only a short car ride away. There is a pub just 5 mins up the road but we never got to try it this time.
We will definitely visit this lovely site again.

Local attractions

Elsewhere, Studley House Farm is primely placed for quite a lot of North Yorkshire highlights, including trying your crafty hand at Ebberston's The Workshop to bring home a souvenir with a difference, or tackling golf, fishing and horse riding in the immediate area. Coastwards, Scarborough has quite a few grownup pursuits like Italian gardens, the Rotunda Museum, the Stephen Joseph Theatre and bagging fresh Yorkshire seafood in its fish market; Filey Brigg is a birdwatching and wildlife haven with hikes on the Cleveland Way, and Bridlington's birds – all 200,000 or so of them – can be found screeching their way around the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs. Nearby Dalby Forest on the southern slopes of the North York Moors National Park is a Forestry Commission-run setting with acres' worth of bike rides and hikes as well as regular events. (The bike trails here range from easy to extreme to severe, so see what your legs can handle.) More rides and hikes as well as climbing, caving and weeks' worth more are in the rest of the national park to the north. And then to the market town of Pickering, a short drive from base and the home of Pickering Castle and the Beck Isle Museum as well as the starting point for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway on its exceedingly scenic 18-mile puff from here to Grosmont. A bit further afield, ancient and walled York is full of old sites, museums, historic winding streets and well-priced restaurants.
