What customers say

Cracking farm campsite, spotless, with lovely owners and a calm vibe. Pitches are grand and the toilets/showers are top-notch. Handy for sights and they do great homemade pizzas. No WiFi and a bit of road noise, but people love it and are coming back.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Only stayed the 1 night was passing through to Scarborough, lovely little camp site on a dairy farm very calm & relaxing,,,, The toilets & showers were immaculately clean. The staff were very helpful in showing me to my spot, there's a pub 10 mins walk serving beers & food which i enjoyed sitting out in the sunshine 🌞. All in all I will be definitely be back to this campsite, thank you.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Warm welcome by the owners, fantastic pitch on a site that was not over crowded even at full occupancy. The facilities were spotless and the location great with lovely views and ideal for getting to nearby Pickering and Helmsley . Spoilt the night we stayed

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hello, sorry you had no hot water for the one night that you stayed with us. We were aware of the problem and thought we had sorted it that evening, unfortunately the boiler had tripped out again. We are always nearby to report problems but may take some finding as we are working early and late on the farm. Apologies once again. Karen.

Great value. Fabulous campsite.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Level pitch with loads of space. Lovely facilities. The plants in the bathroom were a really nice touch!

Local walking route recommendations were provided which was greatly appreciated. Walking distance to the local pub!

A signposted walking loop around the farm was a really nice surprise and great for a quick leg stretch with the dogs.

Home cooked pizzas are available on certain nights!

Loved walking up to the cows in the next field.

Disliked Absolutely nothing.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Nice welcome on arrival giving plenty of information of the site and surrounding area. Pitches were of good size and a nice touch having water on the pitch.
Excellent dog walk on a circular walk as well as a walk to Wrelton.
Buses for Pickering/Scarborough and York were from outside the Buck Inn, which opened Wednesday to Sunday.
I would recommend this site.

Local attractions

Hotspots in the local area include Pickering (five minutes’ drive), famed for a heritage steam railway you might recall from the Harry Potter films and Heartbeat TV series, and the postcardworthy villages of Sinnington (five minutes), Hutton-le-Hole and Thornton Dale (10 minutes). Take in all the cute country cottages as a precursor to the impressive architecture of stately spots like the National Trust’s Nunnington Hall (15 minutes) and Castle Howard (half an hour) before roaming around the Roman sights of York (45 minutes). Looking for days out in nature? Dawdle around Dalby Forest (half an hour), which is dotted with playgrounds if you’ve got the kids with you; other family-friendly options in the area include the zoo at Flamingo Land Resort and Helmsley’s bird of prey centre (both 15 minutes). The coast isn’t far away either for seaside sessions: the resorts of Whitby and Scarborough are both 35 minutes’ drive, while the sandy beach of Filey is 45 minutes away.
