  • Quiet East Yorkshire pop-up campsite five minutes’ drive from Ulrome
  • Burton Agnes Hall 10 minutes’ drive and Bridlington 15 minutes
  • Spacious dog-friendly pitches five minutes’ drive from Barmston Beach
Spacious pitches and complete peace. That’s what you get at West End Field, a back-to-basics campsite five minutes’ drive from Ulrome village and several North Sea beaches in East Yorkshire. Facilities at this nearly wild pop-up site include loos, drinking water and chemical waste facilities. You'll need to pack torches and batteries, along with all your camping gear. Pitches are nice and flat, and approached by a mown track across the two-acre camping field, with space for parking by your tent. The site is very dog-friendly too (the owners have their own), and you can exercise your pets on Barmston Beach (five minutes’ drive/15 minutes’ walk). There’s a small store and a pub in Skipsea (five minutes), and a fish and chip shop down on the beach (also five minutes). For more serious shopping sprees, the historic market town of Beverley is half an hour’s drive away. Days out exploring the region might take in the comic antics of the puffins at Royal Society for the Protection of Birds-owned Bempton Cliffs (25 minutes). There are spectacular walks and cycle rides along rugged east-coast cliffs, and seaside fun to be had in Bridlington (15 minutes) amusement arcades.

What customers say

This is a large, flat, quiet campsite with loads of room, lauded for its peaceful vibe and closeness to the beach and shops. Guests liked the tidy portaloo and water point, and the welcoming, helpful owners. Though basic, it's a grand spot for a stopover, especially for those with their own gear. Good value for money, with a lot of potential for the future. Some mentioned no showers and a bit of traffic on the way to the sea.

Aire non-electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked We visited on bank holiday Sunday and there was only around 10 pitches in use, very nice and quiet. We had 4 dogs with us and struggled to find anywhere that accepted more than 2 until West End Field.

Additional grass area that was great for exercising the dogs short term.

Lots of surrounding area to walk, short drive to the beach or a lovely longer walk away from main road.

Very clean toilets and drinking water available.

Grass is well taken care of and kept short.

As soon as we booked I received a WhatsApp message with need to do info and directions to the beach and shop.

Disliked The only thing I could possibly say that could be better is that the gate is just a manual one with a key coded lock, no one reapplied the lock when entering/exited so anyone was able to just come on to the field and not necessary have paid (not that I think that was the case, just a small criticism)

From the manager: Hello and thank you for the review .
I'm glad you had a lovely time with your 4 dogs.

I see 1/10 was left on the wifi speed. Unfortunately we don't have WiFi at the field or electric but, hope to install it next year.

Our family business has only been open for a short time and we're still learning.

I'm sorry you felt the pitch rate was to high.
We offer the largest pitches and prices 40% below what's available in the area.

Everything we needed clean tidy place thank you

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Simple site. 2 portaloos, a tap and a bin. Field is level. The loos ran out of toilet paper a couple of times (we bring our own anyway). No on site lighting at night. Campsite next to a B road. Fairly busy during the day but not too bad at night. 2 large groups of young campers when we stayed but perfectly behaved. Price is reasonable.
