What customers say

A quiet, spotless site with roomy pitches & great private shower huts. Owners are praised as welcoming, surroundings lovely with farm animals. Handy for the coast. Minor points included arrival mix-ups & spotty Wi-Fi. Grand for a peaceful break.

Liked Second trip to this site. Love the remoteness and peaceful setting yet proximity to the coast. Site well maintained and roller huts are spotlessly clean. Nice to see the host check in with guests during their stay to make sure all is ok.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked We loved this quiet, friendly family run working farm campsite. The pitches were huge and well spaced out and we were able to pick ourselves one that was nice and flat for our motorhome.
We were tickled by the shower/toilet facilities provided in 3 units very much like mini shepherds huts.
The site was very well placed for visiting the north east coast resorts.

Liked Open aspect looking over fields, cute individual washrooms x3.
Great spot short drive to coast.

Disliked Slightly sloping grass only pitches, not very clearly marked.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked The site was very quiet and good size pitches. Jessica was very helpful but informed us she is leaving at the end of the month.

Disliked There are only three bathrooms each with a shower, handbasin and WC for the whole site, which currently has 16 pitches. Our party had to queue to use the loo and for showers. Two of the units ran out of loo paper in the morning.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hello,

Thankyou very much for your review. We are so pleased that you liked our pitches and the tranquility of our site.
Unfortunately during busy times like bank holidays when our site is full, everyone likes to shower and use the cabins at the same time! We appreciate your patience during these busy times. We have taken your feedback on board and will make the necessary improvements to our site. It is a priority of ours to ensure our facilities are kept fully stocked and managed especially during busy weekends.

We hope to see you again in the future, thankyou again

Local attractions

Sidle down to the seaside… Bridlington (15 minutes’ drive) has sandy beaches where you may dabble in a spot of windsurfing or kitesurfing, followed by a tour around the old town. In Filey (15 minutes), you may laze along the sandy shore or watch the fishing boats go to sea. Then, Scarborough (half an hour), a serious seaside resort, has boat trips, surf schools and a funfair, while in Whitby (an hour), there’s the carcass of an abbey and Dracula legends to discover around the town, as well as another beach. While the coast has a way of reeling you in, you won’t want to miss out on the Yorkshire Wolds Way (15 minutes). It’s a hot rambling spot, thanks to its softly undulating chalk uplands and old villages – and those of you who are keen cyclists are likely to appreciate the sloping landscapes too. Craving the city too? Well, the port of Hull (55 minutes) may be a good stop-off on your walking and cycling endeavours. A little further afield, the medieval city of York (an hour) and the shopping centre in Leeds (an hour and a half) make for some more grand days out.
