Unfriendly staff when going to use the facilities.
Accessibility of hook ups.
Parking of vehicles unsafe and emergency vehicles would not have been able to access if needed.
Party taking place (has been informed of music event happening) but not that it was a party and all guests would be parking on the site and that it would be going in in till 5am!!
Whilst a portaloo was made available for guests- it very quickly became unusable!!
Very expensive pub and not able to get off site to find an alternative!
The Wheatacre White Lion needs to decide whether it is a ‘gastropub’ or a pub with a campsite! If the former, it needs to provide facilities outside for campers, with plumbed toilets and if the latter to open the pub to the campers from morning until night and perhaps offer breakfast to justify the additional costs.

Friendly, warm welcome and excellent pub.

The grounds of the actual campsite had a not very nice smell. There was rubbish piled up at the entrance to the campsite. The smell was either rubbish from the pub or, unfortunately, urine. The pub was also burning all its rubbish in the adjoining field for the whole afternoon. Unfortunately we packed up and left.

Nice country pub . Nice level parking And a nice selection of ales and ciders.. Lovely loction close to the waveny River centre. Thankfully there was a portaloo on site due to a big function on. Our neighbours in the caravan were lovely. It's is cheap but you do get what you pay for.

No clear pitches . Basicly Park where you can.
Not many hook up points available.

It's a motor home and caravan site not really suited for campers and tenters.

Landlords massive dog left to roam around the site which is a mastiff or something. Who is not particularly friendly to other dogs and seemed nervous around strangers. This caused us a problem with our dog having to be basicly locked in the van and I wouldn't trust it with small excitable children either .

Bin area right in entrance to site which was stinking.

Landlady dismissive and basicly answer to everything asked was I just book em in and take the money. Then bitched and moaned at my wife for walking in through the restaurant to use the toilet. Despite no clear signage to point you in the right direction. No information on arrival of how everything works on the site..
The attitude of for fuck sake I'm shutting that door was unwelcome.

To be honest can't think of anything

Massive dog running around 24/7, as soon as you got any food out it was there. Couldn't get my dogs out for the car the first day as it wouldn't leave my dogs alone. Had to go buy windbreakers to stop it coming into our tent plus had two small children with us.
Toilets where closed Sunday till 12:30pm and the portaloo had so much shit and sick around it from drunken party the Saturday night! In the end drove to Morrison so my children could go to the loo.
Was so over crowded, pitch size was ridiculous, all on top of each other.
Children playing football till nearly midnight. My car got hit over 20 times plus wind mirror got snapped off. Fair another children can play but the noise, shouting, swearing and fighting.

Sunday night children again playing till nearly midnight, playing man hunt, hiding in people tents, behind people's tents. Was woken up by them trying to hide in our tent while my family was asleep.

Theres no way, I would be paid to stay here again. Worse campsite I have been too. Also extension leads running across the field, which a mature gentleman tripped over.

Sunday went to try the pub which looks beautiful inside, went at 3pm as there was live music and had stopped food.

There was probably over 8 dogs off the lead just messing up people things.

Only bonus is no one even bothered to come and collect any pitch Monday all weekend!

Also Sunday night couple across from us had a fire going inside there tent, which quickly got out of hand. I thought you wasn't aloud fires on campsites anymore?

This campsite didn't follow any rules what so ever.

Would only recommend this place if you want a piss up at the pub then stumble into the back garden to sleep.

If your thinking of staying please look eles where. Trust me.

The location was tranquil, very basic amenities however we were in a fully equipped caravan so not a problem. The pub is lovely and cosy with an extensive menu, food was faultless.

Not a camp site at all had to move my tent The was the start of a horrible time no consideration for people sleeping party alnight long then came back to site to find a caravan parked so close to our tent we could t get in it. The kids just jumping all over the tents without a care In the world dogs runny around that bit my child then the port aloo was full of poo and sick asked them to clean it got told it wasn’t there job I am really up set by the whole thing that was ment for my daughters birthday something needs to be done about this site

really good site nice bike ride to the river had a lovely drink the meals look amazing the pub was really friendly didn't hassle you to go on time in the morning
