Liked: Lovely back to basics site. This was our second stay and we absolutely loved it.
The view over the Shropshire countryside is stunning and we were able to watch the Buzzards, kites and kestrels fly over the neighbouring fields.
There was plenty of firewood and bricks available for a camp fire and the port-a loo was kept clean.
Just a perfect couple of days camping 👍🏻
Disliked: The grass could maybe do with a mow but that’s just a minor thing

Liked: A big thank you to Noah who is top notch on his quad and escorted us to best position on the hillside. Thank you for allowing our Boreas Camping trailer, as the climb to the site is certainly not for caravans.
Fantastic view, brícks to make a fire pit, water and basic toilets.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike att all.... we will be back soon!

Liked: Incredibly beautiful quiet and unspoilt location. Lovely public footpath leading from the upper side of the campsite. Make sure you are well equipped because there’s nothing around for miles.
Disliked: Portaloo
Entire field was pretty sloping so lots of slipping down the tent during the night.

Liked: Beautiful scenery and very welcoming guests. Great location to go on hikes. It is much more quiet and less crowded than other camping places.
Disliked: The area is quite sloped and very exposed to the wind, so don’t expect glamming!

Liked: Friendly landowners who were respectful of campers but happy to help in a pinch using their own resources to do so! Best view of the night sky and no light pollution. Clean and litter free facilities (ie, toilet, water tap) and field.
Disliked: It is very hilly and not ideal for those used to flat land camping but we knew that when we chose the site so this isn't really a complaint.

Liked: The hosts, they were warm and welcoming. The gorgeous view, an immaculate portaloo and being provided with firewood and bricks. Also the unlimited space and quietness (only us and two other parties on the whole field).
Disliked: The only reason it’s 4 out of 5 would be there are no flat areas to pitch up which can’t be helped! And the fact there is literally nothing around which again is a personal preference!

Liked: Remote, peaceful, dog-friendly, incredible views; exactly what I wanted. Meadowtown Farm is down a narrow lane and easily missed (a clearer sign needed on the roadside maybe?) but once there, all good. Friendly, helpful but not obtrusive owners.
Field 200m or so away from the farmhouse along a rough track. Portaloo, water tap, and bricks and fuel for campfires at the field entrance. The field itself is west-facing and very large. It has a significant slope; the most level pitches are probably against the lower boundary - but my one-woman tent was just about ok at the top. Very big tents may struggle - as may some cars, if the grass is wet.
Easy access to walks in all directions along a public footpath crossing the field so no need to use the car. The path through the woods behind the field is overgrown but worth the effort because it gives direct access to open hillside and, a few miles south, Mitchell's Fold stone circle.
Don't come here if you want playgrounds, pubs and pizza ovens! Come for the silence, the sunset - and the brilliant stars at night.
