What customers say
A lively, welcoming site, brilliant by the River Trent for walks & pubs. Staff, especially Martin, are top class. Facilities are basic but clean & functional, with a handy kitchen. Spacious pitches get a nod. Some mention overcrowding/noise when busy & a few found facilities tight.

Excellent well kept site. Great value for money.
Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Great location. Close to the river Trent and the nearby villages of Bleasby and Fiskerton.
Site itself is very spacious, with clean toilet, shower and washing up facilities. Even though it was very busy Martin does a great job keeping on top of everything.
It was my daughters first time camping and mine in a number of years and we both loved it mainly due to the site and the staff there. Nothing was too much trouble!

The nice welcome and the fire…
Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked The nice welcome and the fire pit.
The location by the river, making it easy to paddle board.
Disliked No selective bins, and the trash section was a mess.
The campsite dog was running without lead or muzzle and growling at children.
The price for 1 night 1 person without electricity was very high.

Cattle market
Electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Nothing
Disliked It was like a cattle market no one in reception so we had to wait the facilities were very run down and tired. The caravans & tents were too close you would get no personal space. We paid then got told to wait no one came so we left very disappointed

More than what we expected, and lovely clean brilliant site
Electric electric grass and earth touring caravan pitch
Liked The guy who welcomed us at the gate ( so sorry didn’t get his name) told us all about the site, the area, where to eat and drink if we wanted and made us feel so welcome, more than we have ever had when arriving at a site!
The manager was equally as helpful, she went through our check in when we paid and ensured everything we needed was ok. Can not fault the place! Clean helpful friendly and if being honest cheaper than it should be!! Great site, great location and will be retuning.

Dirty ,rough ,rowdy and unorganised did not stay more than half hour
Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Nothing to like dirty horrible place we stopped half hour and left
Disliked We arrived and and realised we were probably not going to stay . However we checked in which was difficult as they don’t except card only bank draft ,there was no warning of this (I wished we’d have walked away at this point )
A warden who smelt of cannabis found us a pitch in the furthest field and was told this would be peaceful. This was not the case , music blasting ,overcrowded lots of drinking by the Russian mafia next to us .We lasted half an hour and left in fear of how the evening would turn out .Disgusting place I wish I could have my money back through false description

Staff were friendly & ok for a cheap night camping
Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Friendliness of Martin that was on site working. Really good guy & there to help.
Plenty of space in the third field so it was nice & peaceful
Disliked Could do with more than one swing, maybe a climbing frame for kids.
Not enough toilets for the size of the site. Could do with some toilets on each field

The site had lots of space, but facilities not up to scratch.
Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Lots of space for non-electric pitches, those running the site were very friendly and helpful when needed.
Disliked For a busy bank holiday weekend, the toilets and shower facilities were not kept up to scratch, the number of toilets and showers was less of an issue than the lack of toilet roll and soap. The facilities were hardly cleaned over the weekend and were in a pretty disgusting state by monday morning. The lack of toilet roll was raised to staff and sporadically they would replenish, but it seemed like they were unprepared for the amount of supplies needed. Considering the site charges per head, you would expect the amount of supplies to be kept well stocked for guests. There was a foul sewage smell by the toilet block, on Saturday morning professionals arrived to empty the septic tank and this did improve the smell greatly, but was starting to become very smelly again by Sunday afternoon. We felt for those with their pitches right by the toilet block.
When arriving, the owners warned us that the site had been overbooked for the weekend. They made great effort to ensure everyone was able to be squeezed in and overall this wasn't an issue. However there were a number of very rowdy large groups playing very loud music and shouting until 1am, considering the site boasts quiet hours after a certain time this was not enforced and made for a not very relaxing trip.

Friendly welcome, nice non electric field…
Non-electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Friendly welcome, nice non electric field to camp in with plenty of room for the children to play.
Was very close to a good launching point for Paddleboarding on the River Trent, and shortish drive from Sherwood Pines for Mountain biking.
Glad we were not on Electric field as seemed very busy and quite noisy.
