What customers say
A ripper, friendly campsite with a cruisy vibe. Great spot by the River Trent for walks & pub trips. Staff are legends, especially Martin. Facilities are a bit basic but clean & functional, with a handy communal kitchen. Spacious sites are a big plus. Watch out for crowds & noise in busy times, and a few reckon facilities can get stretched.

More than what we expected, and lovely clean brilliant site
Electric powered grass and earth caravan site
Liked The guy who welcomed us at the gate ( so sorry didn’t get his name) told us all about the site, the area, where to eat and drink if we wanted and made us feel so welcome, more than we have ever had when arriving at a site!
The manager was equally as helpful, she went through our check in when we paid and ensured everything we needed was ok. Can not fault the place! Clean helpful friendly and if being honest cheaper than it should be!! Great site, great location and will be retuning.
Disliked Nothing

Dirty ,rough ,rowdy and unorganised did not stay more than half hour
Unpowered grass and earth site
Liked Nothing to like dirty horrible place we stopped half hour and left
Disliked We arrived and and realised we were probably not going to stay . However we checked in which was difficult as they don’t except card only bank draft ,there was no warning of this (I wished we’d have walked away at this point )
A warden who smelt of cannabis found us a pitch in the furthest field and was told this would be peaceful. This was not the case , music blasting ,overcrowded lots of drinking by the Russian mafia next to us .We lasted half an hour and left in fear of how the evening would turn out .Disgusting place I wish I could have my money back through false description

Staff were friendly & ok for a cheap night camping
Unpowered grass and earth site
Liked Friendliness of Martin that was on site working. Really good guy & there to help.
Plenty of space in the third field so it was nice & peaceful
Disliked Could do with more than one swing, maybe a climbing frame for kids.
Not enough toilets for the size of the site. Could do with some toilets on each field

Loved the site , very friendly staff , excellent countryside location
Powered grass and earth site
Liked Its location , staff very friendly and made some excellent recommendations for the local coffee shop and riverside walk to the pub . Very flat location - look forward to returning
Disliked Not enough showers/toilets but having said that it was bank holiday weekend and the weather was amazing .
No allocated electric hook ups , you had to find a vacant one

We did have a good stay, but the site needs some serious TLC

Liked Perfect location for dog walks along the river trent with pubs in walking distance….
Michael & Martin who are based on site are very friendly
Disliked 3 toilets & 4 showers for a site that size is crazy (thats for women) they are also extremely dated and could do with being cleaned more often.
Check in took ages, with no plot numbers, just a ‘let me go find you a plot’ !!

Massive site but the facilities desperately need updating.
Electric powered grass and earth caravan site
Liked Laid back vibe, campfires and bbqs allowed. Close to the river.
Disliked Bank Holiday weekend. Booked a few days before and got there early. Got the idea that it has a very haphazard system as no one was there to take payment and later saw that it's written in a book like bob cratchit! We were told to go where we wanted and found a decent spot. All day cars, vans, caravans turned up and it turned into a free for all. It was obvious that it was totally overbooked. People just pitched tents, put caravans wherever they wanted so no personal space whatever. There's no pitches laid out and you just go where you want and clag into the mains. This made it so messy in places. The facilities are way below standard, showers and toilets 6 of each totally inadequate for nearly 400 people. First time in 8 years that we used our own shower. Septic tank was full to overflowing. Rubbish bin storage area was also overflowing , so that at the start of the weekend every storage bin was full so Rubbish was piling up from the very start. Rats are the next problem. People were still pouring in at teatime but nowhere to go. One couple were moved twice and eventually found one place with electric but then a bloke told them I've reserved that for 3 tents and we said don't let them bully you, stay where you are. Overall it was totally chaotic, and needs sorting out. It has the potential to be a very good site but needs some money spending on it to electrify another field and build a proper shower and toilet block. I also baulked at the cost of taking dogs as they charged £3 per dog per night so nearly £30 and they never walked them, fed them or provided a dog walk.

In need of new showers toilets and washing up areas
Powered grass and earth site
Liked The location is good. Nice walk along Trent to Fiskerton. Lots of friendly people on site.
Disliked Showers and washing up areas are awful. Toilets are quite clean. But bank holiday weekend, there were 3 fields full of tents caravans etc and 3 toilets are not enough. Our pitch had rabbit droppings everywhere and dog poo. Message for owners of site, spend some if the massive profits you must be making on new toilet and shower block. Also a washing up area that has some hot water.

Liked Thank you for making us feel welcome and at home . As a travelling family we often face racial problems . On Boat Lake We were allowed to cook outdoors as we are accustomed to . Leaving early next morning without trace .. the showers and toilets were an added bonus we cannot fault this campsite in any way . Thank you also for trusting our payment to be made later as we left early
