What customers say

A grand, tranquil spot with roomy pitches and grand staff. Folks loved the clean facilities, handy for Woodhall Spa, and the food on-site like the Sunset Tavern. A few mentioned occasional bother with bins and a lack of hot water or cleanliness in some loos. A couple felt it was pricey and had Wi-Fi woes. All in all, a tidy park worth a go for its setting and helpfulness.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Big wide pitch. Plenty of room for car, chairs, awning etc. location.

Disliked Only 2 toilets in the gents. I think if the seasonal pitches were busy it would be a problem, although there are alternatives it’s not a great thing to wander around looking for empty loos.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Lovely, peaceful campsite just what we needed! Our grandchildren visited for a day and loved the play park very much. Nice little area where food and drinks were available outside and the toilet and shower block were kept clean.

Disliked Only a very small niggle was that we had run out of eggs for breakfast and the campsite shop didn’t sell them which was disappointing it’s only very basic. Sainsbury’s was just down the road but a bit annoying we had to jump in the car.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Pitches are a good and spacious size, very peaceful with wood land surround, site is good for walks with dog, great walk to the local village with food store on hand. toilets and showers where nice clean and tidy, fishing for anglers is good with some great size carp and other species, food bus serves great and tasty food and the out door bar was on the ok side, staff was helpful and friendly.

Disliked Chemical waste to high and need lowering to the floor, for more easier excess. Sink waste didn’t know where to put it, if it’s in the sinks on your pitch then ours was blocked with wooden cover, need looking into and made more clear. Out side bar I said was ok, this is due to bear is warm, no one want warm bear on a hot day and could be open more often. Not very disabled friendly, all the roads are all stone. No other paths available and the speed bump are an obstacle for mobility scooters.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Toilets and showers were good
Food bus on edge of site was great but not everyday. No bins at one end of the site.

Reception staff were friendly.

Lovely pub at the end of the field. Very friendly.

Disliked Expensive… site isn’t well maintained, tent pitches weren’t great. Lots of holes and uneven ground, loads of wasps so struggled to eat outside, electric car chargers didn’t work. £4 for one load of washing, £2.50 to dry it. Shop doesn’t have essentials, lots of toys, sweets, crisps and ice lollies. No basic food items like bread, cheese, butter, milk, tea and juice.

No prices visible at the bar and very loud music

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Lovely secure site with great facilities very near Woodhall Spa centre.

Disliked Only some inconsiderate male guests who made a total mess of the shower cubicles (both of them) on the Friday night. Fishermen who had used the lake at the site I believe as it looked like they had taken their boots / possibly other gear in there and left the cubicles caked in heavy mud and then trailed it through the wash rooms for other people to deal with etc. total tosspots whoever it was.
The cleaning staff did a great job of cleaning up this terrible mess the next day but I did feel for them. The showers were very nice and modern and hot👌
I also still have not received my £10 security deposit back which was assured after returning the gate fob!

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Everything about our stay eas excellent.
The staff at reception were helpful and friendly and no question was too dim for visitors who had never stayed before. We were very happy with everything, especially our tree shaded spot in the very hot weather . The shower and toilet block were amazing, in previous years we've stayed on several sies and not experienced such lovely, clean, pristine facilities. Thank you, will definitely stay again

Disliked Nothing!

Local attractions

Woodhall Spa (15 minutes’ walk) is well worthy of your attention; once a renowned Victorian spa resort, today it has cute-as-a-picture cafés, artisan stores selling local produce and two challenging golf courses. Occupying a former sports hall, The Kinema In The Woods shows classic and blockbuster films to the musical accompaniment of an original John Compton organ. Anyone with an interest in Lincolnshire’s aviation heritage should head to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre (10 minutes’ drive) for guided tours around hangars full of military aircraft, or give thanks to war heroes before the memorial at the International Bomber Command Centre (half an hour). Wind up your day with a relaxing pint or two at the Dambusters Inn at Scampton (40 minutes), which is packed with World War II memorabilia. Outdoorsy types pay attention now, as Woodhall Country Park is also gateway to hikes and cycle rides in the undulating Lincolnshire Wolds (20 minutes). And should you be chomping at the bit to get to the seaside, the traditional resorts of Skegness, Mablethorpe and Cleethorpes are all less than 50 minutes’ drive away.
