Woodhall Country Park

Syntes om Situated in a Country park in a great location.

Syntes ikke om Noise. Our pitch had roads in the front and at the sides. The roads are gravel had many cars passing us during the stay. Also, was woken up on Monday morning by the bin lorry passing us at 6:15am, then the noise of it emptying the bins and moving around the site. Then at 7am, construction work started on their new development, Non of this was mentioned when booking. The site looks tired, long grass, dead rabbit on pitch behind us, hedges need cutting. Shower and Toilet blocks ok, but cleaners do not look up or down, cobwebs, dust etc. I think generally their is lack of maintaining. This could be a great site, was disappointed by our stay.

We’re pleased that you enjoyed our location within the country park, but we sincerely apologise for the disruption caused by vehicle noise, the early morning bin collection and the construction work. We understand how frustrating this must have been however guests are notified of this in their pre-arrival email.

We’re also disappointed to hear your comments regarding the general upkeep of the site, including the grass, hedges and cleanliness around the facilities. This is certainly not the standard we aim to provide. Your comments have been shared with our site and cleaning teams so these areas can be addressed.

We appreciate you recognising the potential of the site, and your feedback is valuable in helping us improve both the appearance and overall experience for our guests. We’re sorry again that your visit was disappointing and hope we have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future.

Syntes ikke om The toilets and showers need to be checked more often, although that is more a reflection on other campers untidiness than the campsite facilities.

Syntes om Stayed in tentbox, was on gravel pitch, would have preferred a grass pitch but thats just preference. Loved staying, all staff was friendly, site was clean. Would defo come back. Thanks for having us.

Syntes om Fantastic location, very picturesque and quiet. Facilities were ample and staff were very helpful around the site and friendly. Easy to get to nearby jubilee park, petwood and kinema by foot. We watched the eclipse on the field next to the yellow bus which was a nice experience. Great milkshakes. And a basic selection of essentials in reception.

Syntes ikke om The shower block could do with a bit of an overhaul, very hot water which was too much for our little girl. Also they are on a push button which lasts about 2 seconds between presses. I think they would be better if they were thermostatic showers to be able to adjust the temperature. The shower block itself is just generally a bit dated, silicone coming away from the wall and shower gel baskets easily fall off if knocked etc. We unfortunately had a power cut too whilst on site, which left a total blackout with no back up lights. Again, some emergency solar lighting or a backup around site would be helpful for people trying to navigate their way around in the unfortunate event of this happening again.
The pitch itself was really big, but not very private. But all in all, a good site with investment and development currently taking place from what we could see.

Lovely friendly staff at reception
Woodland walk is lovely
Kids play area
Close to Woodhall spa (walking or cycling distance easily!)
