Liked: The setting is beautiful. Small but plenty big enough for the kids to be entertained all weekend. Felt like you were staying with friends the staff were amazing. So happy to help and just chat with you. The people looking after the animals loved talking to the kids when they asked questions or just wanted to watch.
The facilities were clean and tidy. The onsite bar/cafe was lovely and well kept. The Sunday night entertainment was fab and it was lovely to be able to have a drink and sing whilst the children ate sweets and came and went to the park as they pleased. I felt safe leaving my things at the tent and letting my older kids explore independently.
Lovely little fishing pond. The animals were fab especially for my little boy of 3 who thoroughly enjoyed saying good morning to the donkeys when he woke up each day and the ducks that he said were his friends.
Overall, we will for certain be coming again and I’d like to stay for longer next time.
We had a fantastic, relaxing and enjoyable bank holiday weekend where my kids(even my teenagers) could be kids again and this is rare these days with phones and social media. I felt like they got dirty, played and just were young and I haven’t had them like that for a few years now it was truly lovely. Myself and my partner were able to relax and enjoy the outdoors fully too
Disliked: The only thing I would maybe add would be another toilet block or even just a porta loo at the other end of the wild camping section. Just so that in the night, we don’t have to walk all the way to the other toilet. This would be the only thing I would change but it isn’t something that would stop me coming again I just think it would be a good idea

Liked: Oh my goodness. This place is super special!! We loved it. With really friendly owners Josie, Ian, their staff, the 'crazy gang' of animals & the fishing pond, we was in our element. We had a few walks in Laughton forest. Hot showers too.....no push button for the shower is a rarity these days. We cannot wait to return.
Disliked: It isn't a dislike really, but the shower / toilet facilities could do with an upgrade. Having said that, they serve their purpose, they were always clean, always had loo roll & the showers were hot. I'm also aware that the crazy gang come 1st & quite rightly so!!
Really disliked having to pack up & leave!

Liked: We have never been to a site quite like this one, we loved being so close to the animals. We were very lucky and managed to pitch up next to the emu enclosure.
The owners were very friendly.
Disliked: The sand

Liked: Another short stay at this wonderful site (our 4th visit here) and we can see the work that's been happening since our last stay. The play area has had a significant amount of work done to it (it was looking a little sorry last time we stayed) but I expected that as Ian and Josie very obviously take great pride in their site.
It's the perfect site for families with the play area, a football field for the kids and of course the animals all over the site. Just be aware the little ones will get mucky but that's what kids are supposed to do when they're having fun in the outdoors. Shower facilities (no 20 second button push here) are provided to clean them up at the end of the day :-)
Disliked: Having to leave to get ready to go back to work next week

Liked: We loved everything about our stay at Sunflower park. It was our first time camping as a family and we were worried that the kids would get bored but the park, den building and animals kept them entertained for the whole trip. The site is clean and well looked after. There’s a sense that the owners really care about the site and all the staff we met were incredibly friendly and helpful. The toilets, showers and pot wash areas are well looked after. A great experience all round and we will definitely be visiting again!

Liked: Great site, lovely friendly staff who make you feel very welcome. Clean facilities and the animals were a lovely addition. Loved the secure dog field for my puppy who hasn’t learnt recall very well yet. Everyone we spoke to were returning from previous visits and I can see why.
Disliked: The sand at the pitches, more so at pitches 1&2 was a bit much. It was all in our tent and we can’t get it out of the carpet which is now stained. I think these pitches would be better for caravaners or motor homes as they are easier to clean up. Next time we come, which we will, i’ll just request a different pitch. Other than that, absolutely no complaints about or stay

From the manager: Thankyou and fair point.
The sandy ground is great for drainage but useless as growing grass on to repair pitches.
Doesn't help that so many parents allow kids to dig in sandy pitches
