What customers say
Serene spot, rustic charm, loads for kids (woodland, swings!). Basic but improving facilities (compost loos, outdoor shower). Great location near nature reserve, pubs. Owners are lovely. Some road noise. More upgrades planned.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Amazing hidden gem in the village of Cossington. Local pub serving fresh pub grub only 5 minute walk in one direction and garden centre tea room for breakfast a short walk in the other.
Amazing host Harry was on hand sharing local knowledge of the area to explore. Perfect flat field to pitch up, wooded area for the kids to explore and play on the swings and trampoline. Added bonus of a heated outdoor pool to hire for a small cost, perfect way to cool down in the hot weather. The eco-toilets were clean and well stocked with loo roll.

Lovely site with everything you could…
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely site with everything you could need for a simple camp (standpipe, toilets, fit pits). Adventure woodland was very popular with my daughter and the saw horse and bow saw left out was a really nice touch. Thank you!

Stayed for one night after back packing there. I was really impressed.

Liked The pool was great. The composting toilets were fine. The trampoline and swings in the woods. Nice and quiet when we went. Really nice pub close by.

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s…
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a peaceful, rustic site with basic amenities: recently upgraded compost toilets and an outdoor shower behind a bamboo screen. No electric hook-ups, no dogs, and no music after 9:30pm.
Plenty for the kids — rope swing, slide, trampoline in lovely woodland gardens to escape screen time. Bonus: outdoor pool available for hire.
Cossington Nature Reserve is next door and accessible from the campsite. The Royal Oak pub and garden centre cafe are short walks away. Apart from slight road noise you easily forget you are very close to civilization.
Owner Harry was very welcoming and made an effort to chat with everyone. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!

From the manager: Great to have you visit David and family and thanks for the lovely pics.
Fantastic for kids, adventures, good memories & appreciation of home.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Great site for kids, old school diy entertainment, amenites may take them out of their comfort zone but really make them appreciate home. Everything that modern camping has lost.
Picturesque secret garden site, adventures for kids, river swing, fire pits, swimming pool, surounded by nature reserves, nice walks & longer distance hikes through the gates, canals & swimming. Nice village, range of good pubs, food & groceries.
Bus stop ~100m, train ~1 mile. Easy & frequent links to Leichester, space centre, Luton airport.
Pick your own spot to pitch, compost tollet but clean & no smell, warm shower on a sunny day. Charge point for your devices.
Harry is a fantastic host, his site is very new so is still working things out.

We had such a lovely stay…
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked We had such a lovely stay at Cossiwild Camping! I went with my mum and my 3-year-old son and it was perfect for all of us – peaceful, family-friendly, and really well looked after. My little one loved exploring and playing on the trampoline, tree swings, slide and in the open green area and we all left feeling relaxed. Highly recommend!

From the manager: Thank you for coming Jenna and letting your little one explore!
We had a good time. Location was good and Harry was super helpful
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Easy to find down to the really helpful instructions by the owner Harry.
Quite small field which was pretty full on our first night, but lots of people went home by the next morning, then there was plenty of space. Fairly flat level pitches and well located next to the nature reserve and the small village of Cossington. Excellent pub with superb food a 5 minute walk away and the garden centre cafe was also good for cakes and coffee.
Not too far away from Sileby where there are take away restaurants and shops, including a Tesco express for anything you may have forgotten to pack!
We did have a lovely time as the weather was excellent and we had some good company. Having access to lots of wood was also a bonus as we love to have a campfire!
Unfortunately we didn't get round to having a dip in the pool but it was still nice to know it would've been available if we had wanted it. The garden was lovely and a really nice place to explore for both adults and children!
Disliked The noise from the A46 was louder than I expected it to be but I had earplugs so it didn't disrupt my sleep.
Toilets were very basic composting toilets in tents. Maybe a better option would be to have some kind of more permanent wooden structure and also a LOT more composting material to put onto the top would be helpful.

From the manager: Thank you for coming and glad to see that you explored the local area. The A46 is over a kilometre away but can be a low hum at busy times depending on the wind direction.
I take your point about the toilets and this year was an experimental first season. We have already moved and refreshed the toilets, and for the new season will have a new structure. Overall the feedback has been very positive which gives us confidence to invest in better facilities in 2026.
