What customers say
Grand spot, plenty of space, privacy galore with tall hedges. Lovely quiet vibe, great for walks and nearby pubs. Toilet/shower facilities are lacking and could do with a spruce-up, but the generous pitches and privacy make up for it. Loads are coming back!

Beautiful peaceful location
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Pitch sizes, privacy, location, beautiful fishing lakes.
This is one of our favourite locations you cannot find pitches of this size and with this level of privacy any where else. No WiFi and different to get a phone signal but this is a positive as you totally switch off and relax.
Truly a wonderful peaceful place

Disliked Better if toilets and shower block operational but nothing we couldn’t cope with having the Motorhome

Nice open site with water and power on each pitch
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked The best thing about this site is the privacy with each pitch encircles by a hedge, with a hard standing in each together with a grassy area.
This hedge also gave a nice shaded area in the very hot weather we had when were there.
Plenty of walks direct from site around the various fishing lakes, where there is also a café at the far end.
One point of caution, if you are in a motorhome and decide to drive to the café then there is a narrow bridge just before the entrance, its very tight but it can be done if the vehicle is not one of the very large types, there are no warnings as far as I could see.
I gave 9 as nothing is perfect

Fantastic location, great big private pitches, clean, tidy, fantastic
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked The location was superb, the pitches were the biggest ive seen and surrounded by 10 foot hedges that had recently been trimmed giving fantastic privacy, the grass on the pitches as well as the main area was also recently cut, the whole area was clean and tidy, easy access to the power and water outlet as well as easy access to the toilet and sink waste, on the day we were arriving we had a text message with all the instructions we needed and communication with the site was quick and helpful, local pubs and caffe were fantastic serving lovely food in a great venus. A perfect location to base yourself.
Disliked This in no way affected how much we enjoyed our stay but needs attention, there is a large fenced of area for the bins, unfortunately none were labelled so we didn't know which was general waste or recycling etc, if they were set out with labelling it would be easier to dispose of the waste but again its not a deal breaker thus the 10 star review

Tidy site; large, level picthes; no wardens (not a problem).
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Large, private pitch.
Disliked Couldn't really understand why it's called a "Country Club" but that didn't really matter.

Peaceful site in dire need of some TLC
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked The size of the pitch was really generous.
There are some fabulous circular walks from the site which were enjoyed with our dog.
This was a peaceful site for the most part. There were some parties around that we could hear but they finished at reasonable time.
Fantastic pub in the village Tickled Trout food was delicious staff were lovely.
Disliked We weren’t greeted at any point but had good text directions and instructions the day before and day of our arrival.
Hedges very untidy and way too high.
Hard standing required weeding.
The Elsan point was in a shed that was difficult to unbolt and high off the ground.
Waste water area was untidy and in disrepair. Bin area just a jumble of numerous bins.
The whole site was in great need of some TLC which is a shame as it has great potential.
Unsure why it calls itself a Country Park.
The fishing lakes beside the site were fabulous but there was no easy access from the pitches making it less attractive. Very disappointed in it and definitely not value for money. I guess the fees haven’t changed since the facilities block fell into disuse. Can’t emphasise enough how beautiful this could be if some tension was given to these areas.
