Parking up for the Peak District? Take your tourer off to Ashbourne Touring and Camping Park, a well-equipped park in a handy spot just off the A517 a mile from the village of Hulland Ward. Easy access from the main road means it’s nice and straightforward to get set up at this Derbyshire site – and that location also means you’ll be handily close to the village’s pub and farm shop (a useful source of supplies for your barbecue back at base). Bus services from the stop just outside can take you into nearby Ashbourne – or you can drive over there in about 10 minutes. In fact, everything here has been designed to make life nice and easy for guests, with well-kept ample toilet and shower facilities, a chemical disposal area, a washing-up area and a launderette provided. Dogs are welcome to join you on site as long as they're well behaved. The wifi service provided is also likely to come in handy, given that you'll probably want to plan lots of days out around the area. The edge of the Peak District National Park is about 10 minutes' drive away, as is the start of the traffic-free Tissington Trail, so you'll be in a good position for getting out to explore the lovely landscapes. And there are plenty of other attractions around too, including Alton Towers and the Chatsworth estate.

A cracking, tidy, quiet spot with ample pitches and grand, obliging staff. Toilets and showers are always spotless. Great for exploring the local area. A bit of bother with the WiFi and the odd bit of noise from traffic or fellow campers. A few found pitches or facilities a bit iffy when it was busy.

Liked -Great location just outside Ashbourne and close to Carsington waters.
-Site manager was really friendly and helpful.
-Pitches were well spaced so doesn't feel like you're on top of each other.
-Good dog walking area and plenty of safe spaces for children to play.
-Laundry facilities available and not expensive.
-Toilet and showering facilities were reasonable - basic but clean.
-Site is very family friendly
-free WiFi available. Not super fast but it worked okay
-Benny's Pizza & Kebab deliver to the site and is highly recommend! Cash only unfortunately...

Liked This was our first experience of taking our tourer out and we are very much looking forward to doing it again now. The campsite was lovely - well-maintained, clean and had all the facilities we needed. We particularly liked the on-site dog walk and the location was the perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. We will definitely revisit at some point in the future.

Liked Friendly welcome. The was excellent, level and spacious. Washing/shower/toilet fascilities very clean as are other servicing areas. The dedicated dog walking paths was fantastic. Overall, highly impressive and highly recommended.

Liked Clean site, well kept, beautiful shower rooms. Little park area for the kids. We had young children and teenagers and everyone enjoyed the stay .close to nice pubs and walking routes.
