Hedley on the Hill, Northumberland, England
Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked Basic, but cheap and has portaloos. It’s a field basically with portaloos and water taps. No sinks or showers. Has great views, can catch the wind due to the geography of it, but it’s not a bad place at all.

Power optional grass tent campsite (backpacker, solo)
Liked Been here before, simple camping field, no issues. I’ve seen the bad reviews but I’m on a motorcycle with a small tent and I just need toilets and somewhere to wash pots. It suits me fine, nice views, couple of pubs in village. Very pleasant.
Disliked Nothing, suits my needs.

Dent, Cumbria, England
Power optional grass tent campsite (backpacker, solo)
Liked Great place in a quiet valley. I was on a motorbike and there’s hard standing if that bothers you. Very quiet, so not a place if you want to drink beer and have fires. Much more quiet, chilled place. I loved it. I’ll be back.
Disliked Nothing really. It was 40p for a shower and I had no change on my, but that’s all my fault.

Tebay, Cumbria, England
Primitive cement/asphalt RV campsite
Liked This is a good place to stop. The pitch holds 3 or 4 VW size vans in the far corner of a quiet social club car park. Electric hook up, toilets and showers are all spot on. People are friendly and you can get a pint from the bar and take it to your van.
There are other spots nearby where you can stay in pub car parks for cheap but you have to buy an evening meal in the pub, this place works out a lot cheaper if you feed yourself then get a drink in the club. I expect I’ll call back, it’s a good no nonsense pitch.
Disliked Nothing really.
