Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked Gem of a place, beautiful scenery, very relaxing. As the description stated, being self contained is a must, no access to toilets, water or waste disposal, which, having read the detail, we knew, however there are 2 pubs within a 20 minute walk down a very quiet road.

From the manager: Hi Kirsty , really appreciate you taking the Time to give us a Honest Review . We are on the move to improve as time goes on with lots of different facilities in the pipeline including showers . Pricing is based on our overheads at the moment and as you know Electric is mad so this has been a factor unfortunately in our charges . I am Glad you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you back one day soon .

Liked Quiet, peaceful surroundings, lovely spacious, level pitches, not too busy.
Disliked Was charged full amount for stay, even though a deposit was paid via pitchup.com. Only 2 toilets, 1 male, 1 female. And there was a dog locked in a cage, that looked very sad, which was quite upsetting to see.

Liked Location
Disliked Toilets and shower facilities were in porta cabins, and sub standard and no bins to put rubbish in. We were charged 2 nights electricity when we only booked for 1 night and the pitches that we had booked, had another set of campers already pitched, so we had to be given alternatives.

From the manager: damaging dry stone wall and jumping up and down could have hurt the children mothers were not interested in supervising their children instead they expected campsite manager to baby sit their children while they were too busy having drinks ? chilling sorry in future find yourself another campsite because i am not putting up with some crazy selfish mothers when 4 year old child is left alone near lane out of sight that is only 50 meters away from very busy main road that explains certain mothers ? and your children were part of the group of children which were left un supervised which damaged the dry stonewall have you got any responsibility for your children? interested in welfare safety of your children /

Liked Everything, the site was clean, staff were friendly, they have a well stocked shop selling essentials you may have forgotten and even camping equipment. We didn't see our 10 year old for hours due to the park and games room, there was always something for him to do and plenty of other kids for him to play with. They also have a bar and everything was very reasonably priced.

Liked Site was relatively quiet, the male member of staff was friendly and helpful. Pitches were well kept and level.
Disliked All static caravans caravans appeared to be occupied by migrant workers . The 2 children of a nearby English family were having pictures taken of them and were taken in to one of the foreign workers caravans via a window, clearly not safe for children. Showers and toilet block were in a state of disrepair.

From the manager: Wy didnt the parents of the children complain to the staff ,sounds a bit far fetched to me
