Liked What a lovely site. A warm welcome by Duncan even though it was pouring with rain. We had the site to ourselves and it was just beautiful. The toilets and shower were clean, and I loved the little facility area.

Liked The pitches were well cared for. The dog walking area is good. The showers were hot (and not push button!). The kitchen was well equipped. Friendly staff.
Disliked Dogs not allowed inside (but I understand why).

Liked Peter was super friendly and the site was extremely clean. It was very festive with a singing santa outside of the toilet block, and the dogs enjoyed the walk around the fishing lake.
Good location with easy access to York park and ride.

Liked What a wonderful site with super helpful staff. I stayed in our campervan and we forgot the frying pan... the site manager found one for us and said "just leave it outside the shop when you leave". Now that is fabulous customer service. Clean site, hot showers, well maintained, super little cafe with music on a Saturday night. We will be back.
Disliked The card machine broke in the shop so we couldn't purchase anything (no cash). But the card machine was working in the little cafe.

Liked The site was very clean and the pitch was level. I loved the sound of the stream behind my van and the little club house was very friendly.
Disliked It's a shame that no food is served on-site.

Liked A lovely site and very friendly welcome (even though we arrived late). The site was very clean, lovely shower / toilet block with hot water and a free hairdryer!
Disliked We had to unpadlock the gate each time we went in/out, but I appreciate that this is also good from a security point of view. Also the guy would hear the van and came out to unlock it for us, so it wasn't really a pain.
No pub within walking distance so the only place to eat was a fish and chip shop.

From the manager: Hi Julia. Thank you for your lovely review. Unfortunately, miscreants venturing onto sites means we have to be a little more vigilant and hope that the minor measures are a deterrent. That said, we appreciate the acknowledgement that we try to make the measures as easy to manoeuvre as possible by being there for entries / exits. Horam is particularly rural, but Heathfield and Hailsham have a wealth of eateries and pubs to choose from. Thanks very much for the review, and we hope to see you again soon.

Liked Good pitches, even in the rain. Electric and water was on tap (pun intended). The service in the pub was excellent and the food was fabulous. Overall a good stay.
They do now have portaloo's and bins, however I used my own, so didn't have a look to see what they were like.
Disliked Lack of showers, but that was made clear in the description, so that was expected.
A bit noisy from nearby traffic.

Liked A lovely site, although I arrived in the dark and left in the dark the next morning. David was very helpful on the phone and made sure I was ok. The site is extremely well maintained, clean and has good facilities. I will return here later in the year when the weather is better.

Liked The site was clean and the owners were attentive to our needs. As it was so cold the pipes to the shower blocks etc were frozen, but the owners sorted it out.
Disliked The only thing I disliked was the noise from the donkey sanctuary next door and the busy road noise.

Liked The friendliness of the staff, and the fact that they limit the numbers. The meadows is lovely.
Disliked The ground was very hard (not the owners fault of course, it has been a dry hot summer). My pegs struggled to go in the ground but there were plenty of rocks and logs around.,
