Liked Well presented site with nice sized pitches. Plenty of space to have some privacy. Clean and decent quality shower block/toilets. Convenient Spar shop on-site
Disliked Shop was closed quite early in Saturday despite advertising winter hours it still closed earlier than advertised.

Liked Friendly, relaxed, generous pitch size and overall great location. Very peaceful, caters for all with bakery service, restaurant and well stocked shop. Dog friendly, enthusiastic team. We very much look forward to returning soon.
Also I want to give kudos for one of the best water fill up stations I have ever seen at a site, great for vans and motorhomes of all sizes and convenient hoses for us with an aqua roll. loved it, thank you.
We are even considering one of the camping pods for a future trip as they looked so nice.
Lastly, we also had excellent TV reception, this may be more luck than anything but has accelerated our desire to return, everything was made so relaxing for us.
Disliked Pay for WiFi, our Mobile reception was excellent on site so felt it a bit unnecessary to have to pay for Wifi in my opinion.

Liked Spacious site, relaxed atmosphere very dog friendly.
Disliked Ran out of toilet paper in toilet block, only two toilets for whole site but they are clean and pleasant, showers same but again a great place to wash and get changed. I think most people would happily pay a bit more to stay here given its presentation and facilities if they had the added benefit of somewhere to put their rubbish, I personally do not understand this decision given the large car park area on arrival could accommodate a trade waste bin, cover the cost by a small lift in stay per night. Very limited pitches which are level so if you’re in a van bring ramps.

Liked Calm site with lots of farm animals, hens and geese roaming free. Picnic benches available on most pitches which is great.
Disliked advertised as having a shower/toilet block. this was in the process of being built but miles away from completing the build in a nearby farm building. We were relieved that we only had a few nights booked as if we were there for longer this would've made our stay impossible. There was the offer of a nearby mobile-home with a toilet in, I used once and there was no water plugged in so couldn't flush so saw that as a lost cause. I also couldn't find a chemical disposal point, which may well have been there but not in any of the obvious places that I could find. For the money charged per night I was sadly disappointed, particularly as for the going-rate I would expect a shower and toilet.I appreciate this is 'in progress' but stop advertising it on the Pitchup page with these facilities as it is thoroughly misleading. My suggestion would be reduce your tariff until the facilities are up to spec for a £30+ per night site. To add to it the site was also cash-only.
I would like to add though, with the facilities addressed or the price adjusted given the lack of facilities, the location and overall nice feel of the site wouldn't put me off coming again.

Liked Beautiful location, great views and small intimate campsite
Disliked Pitches on slope. Not a problem as such but really hard to get our small van level. Plenty of other places to pitch though so easy enough to move if too much of a problem. At busier times this could be a problem though.

Liked Very Friendly staff on site, very clean and adequate facilities. Beer tent on site was brilliant. Remembered our names.
Disliked We were pitched behind a marquee/beer tent which we could hear the cooling system in the night with our windows open. Pitch was nice until others started turning up and we ended up with another van a few feet away fro the from of our awning (which opens up). Seemed a little ADHOC with pitches i.e. putting people anywhere and everywhere. We were happy with where we were but other people with higher standards may be a little fussy with this. All in all it felt we were put on a pitch as our van was small when our setup would've been better suited to one of the perimeter pitches which there were plenty of available for the entirety of our stay.
A big attraction to families in tents etc. despite not much to do for kids (of which we have none) this meant kids and some adults were running in and around our space constantly, this was mainly due to where we had been told to pitch in terms of location. A little more organisation ahead of our arrival would easy remedy this as a couple travelling alone we could've been put in a more secluded area and let the families be together.

Disliked Paying for showers

From the manager: Thank you for your review, as we are a small park we do have to charge a small amount for our showers (20p or £1) to help cover cleaning costs. Jason

Liked Really big hard standing pitches with own water tap and sufficient grass space for an awning. Near the motorway, motorway services can be accessed via a service road which is great as fuel stations are few and far between on the rural roads. Shower and toilet facilities are immaculate. The site is also right next door to a nice pub.
Disliked Motorway noise.

Liked Great facilities, radio on in the shower/toilet block. Warm and kept immaculate. Is a small touring site with mostly hard standing pitches which looks very premium. Grass available if you like to pitch with awnings etc. Near a sizeable asda (we walked)
Disliked I wouldn't say I 'disliked' but it is near a railway line personally I love hearing the faint clickety clack but for those after 0db silence may notice.

Liked Everything! The hard-standing pitches are great sizes and conveniently placed in terms of water points and toilet block. 10 mins from Bishops Lydeard station for the fantastic West Somerset Railway.
We arrived (pre-paid) mid-afternoon on a Saturday, the office was closed. The great thing was the site owners had thought ahead and put surname and pitch number on the door inviting us to pitch up ourselves.
This site is also only 30 mins approx from Taunton

Liked Firepits were excellent, and facilities are top notch! Cleaned regularly. Showers were nice and powerful. Good wash-up area with a fridge/freezer for icepacks etc. Pub was in walking distance through a few fields, and the Fox is a nice boozer. The views from the site are spectacular. It really is a lovely area. And Clive and Linda were both very friendly and helpful, there was wood out every evening for the complimentary firepits.

Liked quality of toilets and showers were amazing. I presume newly built buy very clean and welcoming. Smooth FM plays all hours of the clock which is nice. Nice looking and positioned hard standing pitches
Disliked No option for a non electric grass pitch. There was a perfectly adaquate lower part of the field with a few tents pitched on which our small, inoffensive camper would have been at home on.

Liked Massive camping field. Clean, sizeable toilet and shower facilities. Nice and simplistic. In our opinion a proper campsite.
Disliked Had to pay a further, unexpected £2 for a charge for 'the car'.... We have a motorhome. My understanding was the non-electric pitch catered for the vehicle and an awning (which we have). Didn't effect our satisfaction with the friendliness of the staff though.
