Liked Location in excellent position for birdwatching in the Lee Valley. Spacious site well laid out. Easy access to all facilities. Reasonable price for a site so near London. Cinema and Bus terminus just off site. Clean facility block. Very friendly, helpful staff .
Disliked Shower very small, no seat for drying feet, no space to keep everything dry whilst showering.

Liked Lovely rural location, but pub a nice walk away. Good pitches with dividing hedges. All the facilities you need including use of a freezer and a meat salesman visiting with fresh produce. Pond. All forms of camping allowed. Lots of birds around and probably other wildlife. Useful route information provided pre visit.
Disliked Narrow roads to access as with many places, rougher track last bit. We managed with our 5.99m motorhome, larger units may struggle

From the manager: Thank you for your detailed review Brian 😊 We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay on our fully serviced Meadow pitch and found the park easy to find and well located for exploring the local area. It’s great to know you appreciated the spacious pitch, clean facilities, nearby services, and the convenience of the drive-over grey water disposal. We’re also really pleased our reception team made a positive impression and that you were able to make the most of the additional facilities, club, and bar included with your stay 💙 We completely understand that larger, busier parks aren’t for everyone, and we appreciate your honest feedback. Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked The facilities were very clean with a good supply of hot water. A quiet site overlooking (at a distance) the lake. Good location, although very narrow roads as we approached and left. Lot of wildlife around the site and the lake with nice walks and information boards. The cafe wasn't open at the time of our visit but would be a nice place to call when open. Looked like there was an adventure playground for children but we didn't visit it.

Primitive cement/asphalt RV campsite
Liked A lovely quiet site with views over the fishing lakes. Well maintained with clean facilities. The lady we met was very friendly and helpful with directions to a local pub.
Disliked The cost of electricity. We paid £6 which didn't even last over night. The lady who sited us had a problem with one socket and then changed it, so maybe it was faulty. By contrast at another site our usage was £1.80 for a night.

From the manager: Thank you for lovely feedback. The cost of electric detail here is not quite right so perhaps there was some confusion. I hope the following is useful for people looking to book fair use or metered sites. We run a fair use policy for the electric use and hook ups are 10A only. Our electric pitches booked on Pitch Up include the cost of the hook up facilities and 10KWh of electricity per day. This has been calculated based on an average 3 bedroomed house using between 7.5-10KWh per day. You would only need to pay for electric if you want to go over your total allocation - you can track your usage on the meter. Additional units are charged at .60p per KWh (we are on business rates not domestic rates). You can arrange for a top up whilst onsite, but generally only a handful of people find themselves needing to do this during the camping season. That's generally when high draw items have been used such as air-conditioning, Sleep Ap/Oxygen Machines, Microwaves, George Foreman Grills and other items like heaters (often not designed to be run on a 10a system OR used for extended periods of time). Our set up is listed in the details of the site before you book.

Liked The location with bus stops nearby and the railway station not too far away. Large hard standing pitch. David the site manager was very helpful and his recommendations for places to visit were excellent. The pitch we chose was close to the fresh water tap and chemical disposal. Excellent WiFi. Toilet clean and plentiful hot water.
Disliked Access to the fresh water tap isn’t central and may be a problem if the site is busy.

Liked A lovely clean little site with ample sized hard standing pitches. Grey and chemical waste close at hand. Views up to the fells. Close to a main road but far enough away to avoid disturbance.
Disliked No toilet or showers which we knew about. We don’t use what3words which we were advised to use as sat nav unreliable, but pitch up directions accurate. Need to take a photo of electric meter on arrival and departure, then send photo to owners for later payment.
