Lots of space per pitch, good hard standing, electric hook up, small well organised site, secure, great location to local amenities, toilets and shower facilities nice and clean, staff helpful and flexible with changing booking and late arrival.

Pitches were perfectly level.

The constant sound of traffic coming from the motorway, the main road going past the site and a small road that also had quite a bit of traffic.
Facilities were poor, only 1 shower, toilet seats hanging off, no flusher button, all things that can be easily fixed and inexpensive too. The slabs out the front of the facilities were broken, all uneven and most of the time flooded with no other way around. Apparently the facilities have been getting a renovation for quite some time now.
No site lighting, only the street lights from the main road which isn’t safe when trying to dodge the pot holes around the site.

Excellent location for us amazing value and staff really friendly.

We needed a late departure and it wasn’t a problem.

Wifi on site is excellent to keep the kids happy.

There’s a cafe on site so we didn’t even have to cook breakfast in the morning.

We will definitely be coming back soon .

Close to main roads, seemed noisy most of night

Great location for visiting the Wirral and Chester. The site layout appeared to be cared for and well presented, however, when the heavy rain came we became aware of the lack of drainage and the area quickly became underwater and flooded around the toilet block area. Note: The rain was heavy and constant for a prolonged period. The site felt safe and secure with a good solid gate access.

Unfortunately there are a few.
The site is advertised as offering 'fully serviced pitches' our pitch number 16 certainly didn't have grey water drainage. My husband wandered round the site trying to find a disposal point for grey water and failed, he ended up lifting the caddy into the pot wash sink and emptying it that way. It was only after we left reading previous reviews that we found out that grey water is to be discharged into a ditch running down the back of the site, not in our opinion an acceptable option for a site of this nature.
The toilet block - Had broken toilet seats, broken flushes, the hand dryer was not working in the ladies toilet, the toilet brushes were disgusting and non existent in certainly in one of the male toilets .Basically the toilet block needs fully refurbishing with an upgrade of facilities.
In our view the elsan point was totally inadequate and extremely dirty.
The other issue that we struggled with was the traffic noise which is virtually constant, but perhaps some people would be able to tolerate this .
Would we come back? Yes if the points mentioned above were addressed and ensure a pitch on the quiet side of the site was available, away from the traffic noise.

We found it ideal to catch a taxi into chester to see the christmas markets from this site.
