Liked: I think this place is best visited in summer when it's probably at its best..

Disliked: Really sorry but this place is so outdated... the toilets/showers were dirty & old and there was a smell, there were old suppliances and garbage just thrown in the forest behind the playground.. the camper spaces were ok but no gravel, so due to rain the days before there was mud all over.

Liked: Nice site. Lovely restaurant. Quiet pitch amongst the Olive trees. Good pool. Situated on top of a hill close to pretty village with shops and restaurants.

Disliked: A site map would have been helpful - bit difficult to see the layout when you arrive

Liked: Der Pool ist eine willkommene Abkühlung und zudem sehr sauber. Die Sanitäranlagen sind zwar alt, dafür aber sauber und es gibt genug Duschen und Toiletten. Besonders die Babywanne hat uns gut gefallen. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und auch das Essen im Restaurant war gut!

Liked: We loved the situation, on a hill with Siena in the distance, amongst the olive trees. There is plenty of space so you don't feel that your neighbours are living right on top of you. Everyone on staff is really friendly and helpful and really made our experience great. The pool is clean, the bar and restaurant are great value. Fresh croissants are available to order. The bathrooms are clean, there are hairdryers in the women's bathroom. The laundry room has 3 large machines. Because of this year's heat we stopped cooking on our gas hob and ate in the restaurant and village where the restaurant is v good.

Disliked: Giving a good review as our secret holiday destination may become over popular....

Liked: Ruhe, viel Platz, wunderschöne Plätze unter Olivenbäumen. Wer hier nicht abschalten kann, schafft es nirgendwo

Disliked: Die eine Person die sich um alles kümmert und somit auch überfordert ist. Nicht an alle Zapfstellen sauberes Wasser fürs Womo. Schacht für Grauwasser, liegtsteil unten, wo man mit großem Camper nicht mehr hoch kommt. Platz terrassenförmig angelegt, Schotterwege, mit größerem Womo kann man hängen bleiben.

Local attractions

The medieval town of Murlo (15 minutes' drive away) has been so untouched by development it's like an open-air museum: it still has its ancient walls and is a fably scenic place for a saunter around old streets and buildings. The history of the town (humans have lived here since Etruscan times) is all at Murlo's Museo Civico Archeologico in the old Palazzone or bishop's palace. From Murlo, take the mining trail route along the old railway line by the Crevole stream for a scenic stroll, to hike through the surrounding woods to the ruins of the Hermitage of Montespecchio, dating back to the 13th century. Then on to Siena for more old-site saunters, around the UNESCO World Heritage Site of its medieval centre, the Piazza del Campo and the town hall; make sure you clamber up the Torre del Mangia too for splendid views over the city. Or (and) drive east for 45 minutes to reach the hill town of Montalcino, home to a medieval fortress and ruined castle as well as one of Italy's most expensive wines.
