Family beach days = sorted. Getting to the sands from Camping Village Mareblu merely involves the simple task of strolling down a private path to the point where the pine forest opens out onto views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The beach is free to access (bargain) so you can wander down whenever you fancy it for lessons at the surf school or paddles while gazing out towards Elba, Corsica and Capraia. There's plenty of space to get your fix of nature and sea air at this sprawling family-friendly site 10 minutes’ drive from the Tuscany town of Cecina. Take a little detour off the beach path to follow trails through the seaside-hugging nature reserve next to the site. If all that sounds like rather too much effort, stick around on site for swims at the open-air pool while those of a livelier disposition get their kicks with games of football, volleyball, table tennis or pétanque. There’s bike hire too for those who are keen on exploring, but not so keen on walking. Family eats = also sorted. Toddle along to the on-site shopping centre to order something filling at the restaurant or pizzeria, or pick up self-catering supplies in the supermarket (or sink a couple of drinks at the bar if you're after a bit of chillout time). Don’t want to spend evenings hanging out at your pitch? Regular entertainment is scheduled throughout high season.

Liked: Ottimo campeggio: ben tenuto, piazzole grandi, ben delimitate, fornite di energia elettrica e ombreggiate. Fontanelle disponibili e sparse tra le piazzole. Bagni funzionali, molto puliti, con acqua calda sempre disponibile come nelle postazioni stoviglie e lavaggio biancheria. Accesso diretto al mare, su spiaggia attrezzata e non, attraverso bellissima e fresca pineta. (percorso agevole con passeggini o carrozzine portatori di handicap) Piscina a disposizione degli ospiti grandi e piccini. Market, Bazar, ristorante e bar interni con prezzi ottimi. Il valore aggiunto del campeggio di per sé ottimo, è il personale sorridente, disponibile e professionale che sa suggerire soluzioni al cliente con grande cortesia e professionalità. Impossibile non tornare.

Liked: Stora fina pitcher. Nära till havet, vår hund fick följa med och vara med på beachen. Fin pool.

Disliked: För att bada måste man ha badmössa i poolen. Vem har badmössa 2023. Trångt att komma till pitcherna träd ivägen. Körde sönder hörnet på husbilen mot ett av träden.

Liked: Miejsce fajne zacienione. Camping położony w pięknym lesie, piękna droga do morza przez las i wiele ścieżek do spacerowania, jeżdżenia na rowerze czy na jogging. Bardzo miła i pomocna obsługa campingu.

Disliked: W Czesi której mieliśmy parcele toalety niższego standardu niż w pozostałej części , dużym niepozytywnym zaskoczeniem były śmietniki rozmieszczone przy umywalkach - mało przyjemny zapach podczas korzystania z łazienki. Wcześniej byliśmy nad Garda na polu - śmietniki były praktycznie poza polem w zacienionym miejscu a tu na dodatek w słońcu. Dla nas zaskoczenie - czepki na basenie.

Liked: - L'atmosfera del campeggio - la piscina - animazione coinvolgente - due ristoranti ed un bar, un bazar ed un minimarket - Pineta da favola appena fuori in campeggio - Spiaggia con sabbia, sia libera che attrezzata - lungomare immerso nella natura

Disliked: Difficile trovare lati negativi, per famiglie con bambini il campeggio è perfetto. Nel caso non siate famiglie con bambini: - Il cancello che da sulla pineta e sul mare chiude alle 23, quindi se volete fare serata dovete passare dall'entrata principale - Cecina è vicina ma non troppo: andare a piedi non è molto comodo, immagino però ci siano i mezzi pubblici che passano nella via davanti il campeggio, non ho verificato - Il wifi non va bene per lavorare e la copertura 4G non è stabile, almeno dalla nostra piazzola. Sconsigliato quindi ai remote worker. (Ho riscritto questa recensione 3 volte perché pitchup all'invio cancella tutti i campi.)

Local attractions

Start stays with explores close to base – it’s less than 10 minutes’ drive to Cecina and its archaeology museum, waterpark, horse riding, scuba diving and boat trips. If that latter piques interest, venture as far as Piombino (45 minutes) to clamber aboard ferries to the islands of Elba and Corsica. Prefer to stick to dry land? It’s a 15-minute drive to see exotic animals at Parco Gallorose zoo, 35 minutes to the 14th-century basilica of Santuario della Madonna di Montenero, and a little under an hour and a half to puppet shows and strolls among sculptures at Pinocchio Park. Those who favour a bit of town time will have lots to choose from hereabouts: the port city of Livorno is 50 minutes from base and is a must-visit for its aquarium, markets, museums, gardens and forts, and the famed leaning tower of Pisa is less than an hour away. Further urban days can be had in Lucca (an hour and 10 minutes), or spending well-timed stays watching the famed Palio horserace in Siena or visiting Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery and the statue of David in Florence (both cities are an hour and 45 minutes away).
