Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Loved the energy as soon as we arrived here. It’s the perfect amount of wild. The view, the egg laying hens, the badminton and swings were all rustic and charming. Tim was friendly and very attentive.
Disliked Nothing
Peaceful, friendly, basic, back to nature
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Everything, the location is fantastic, wide views towards Cardiff, we were nicely welcomed and really looked after by the owner Tim, beautiful old pub with a lovely garden just 5-10 mins stroll down the lane, trout on the BBQ, endless walks from the campsite, even at the end of June not too crowded. Good, level field for camping. Back to basic, just what we like.
toilets included on site

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked This is one of the southwests hidden gems.
The host, the pitch, the site, the view all of them tip top.
I'm reluctant to say too much about the place. Tim (the owner) has created a little piece of heaven on earth.
I was afraid that after I gave a honest review that I'd have to book months in advance.
On this occasion I had the site virtually to myself (midweek). Perfect!!!
If you are happy to go minimalist (Which let's be honest is what camping is all about) then this site ticks all of the boxes.
I can see me escaping the crowds to this sanctuary again and again!
Disliked I had to leave!
From the manager: Thank you Dan.
A beautiful, back-to-basics site.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked I liked that there was no strict timings on entry, designated fire pits and the owner was welcoming.
Toilets on site (camping toilet in a room) but if you need to go then it’s there.
Running tap water
Disliked On approach to the Batch campsite is a VERY bumpy road…yes of course this can’t be helped but could have been told on booking due to some cars may get damaged due to the bumps hitting the bottom on the car.
From the manager: Hi Jedd,
Apologies for the track. It is mentioned on the website and on the email we sent out a week before you arrived. You just have to take it slowly like life on the campsite. Hope to see you again.
