Incredible site with amazing views, fantastic owners and facilities!
Primitive grass campsite
Liked What a magical site! The owners were incredible, facilities clean and easily accessible, great WiFi coverage, large pitch sizes, fantastic local products available from the main barn as well as beautiful cream teas and food. Loads for kids to do and explore with rope swings and owners even put up a large football net as a surprise one afternoon. Farm animals such as the chickens and geese, the cows in the far fields and of course Mia the cat were a highlight for the family as well as the incredible night skies, perfect for star gazing. Will definitely be back next year, couldn’t fault it!!!

Could be lovely if some effort was made. Very strange vibe from owners

Liked The location
Disliked It was advertised as a pub campsite but the pub was a small bar that only opens Fri/Sat and not even on a bank holiday. Farm shop is advertised but I didn’t see any produce on sale and despite advertising their own cider, when asked at “the bar” all they could offer us was a can of Thatchers. Sat at a table that was full of a left over cream tea, this was not cleared during the whole hour we were sat there, despite staff walking pass several times. No where on site to exercise dogs.
The toilets and showers were really dirty and looked as if they were not cleaned regularly. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but left after the first.

Liked Onsite restaurant and bar and shop. Nice site and nice views, all clean and tidy
Disliked Only one toilet block so sometimes there was a wait but nothing major. Another toilet block in the restaurant area but that closes at 10.

Liked Great campsite and a lovely restaurant/bar we had a really nice afternoon tea 😁
Disliked Ordered 2 ploughman’s and got one board between two people which we did not think was enough for two people or the price .
Not enough toilets and a walk down hill not great for my disabled husband some toilets at the top of the field would be great addition

Over all a pleasant stay. The owners are very lovely.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Quite small site
Disliked All electric pitches are on a hill so makes camping in a tent tricky.
Not enough showers or toilets for the amount of people camping (only 3 of each) But it was a bank holiday so maybe busier than usual.

From the manager: Good morning. Thank you for your comments. We apologise if your pitch was a little tricky.
I must comment on the number of toilets and showers you quoted as there are in fact 8 toilets + 2 urinals & 4 showers,
possibly you didn't locate them all. Yes, being a bank holiday meant we were much busier than usual, with a lot of happy returning campers.
Best wishes,
Gerald & Pam.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Lovely dog-friendly site that allows fires & has big plot allocations. Good toilets & showers that are cleaned regularly. Terrific friendly owner & staff, with amazing food in the barn restaurant - excellent breakfast, cream tea & cakes.
Disliked The road that runs along one side is fairly busy in the day, though pretty quiet at night.
