What customers say
Stowford Farm Meadows is a large, well-kept campground with roomy sites, clean washrooms, and friendly staff. It has tons of family activities like a pool, playgrounds, and entertainment. Most love the amenities and location, though some note sloped sites, spotty Wi-Fi, and occasional food issues. It's dog-friendly with great walking trails.

Liked Facilities were good, plenty for the kids
Disliked Two toilet blocks out of service, cleanliness was poor, overcharged one night for drinks, swimming felt dirty, felt like the site was too big / under resourced

Lovely friendly holiday camp site, my son wants to come back next year
Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Reception staff were soo friendly and helpful at check in and for anything else. Even my 7 year old who was observing commented how lovely the one gentleman was when he was dealing with various queries. Good choice of activities on site, especially for rainy days. We enjoyed the horse ride and had really nice chips from the on site chippy. We took advantage of the pizza deal, they are big. The toilet and shower facilities never felt too busy. Plenty of drinking water stations dotted around.
Disliked There are no clear boundaries to the pitches. I had to guess where my pitch was as on the day of arrival, the pitches around mine were empty. Unfortunately the shop was pretty empty and a long list of unavailable meals at the restaurant. I'm aware it was an issue with deliveries, not sure if a one off and we were just unlucky. But I will say the shop prices seemed reasonable, £1.50 for a scoop of ice cream, won't get that price anywhere else.

Great location, good pitch size, just let down by a few issues.

Liked Good pitch, great size. Location is great with Woolacombe about 15 minutes away. Croyde 30 minutes away. Pitch was easy enough to find. Check in was easy. I’d added an extra night onto the booking due to no late checkouts, and this was easy enough too.
Disliked No facilities to refreeze ice blocks was a big issue, given temperatures. Combined with the fact the shop never had any ice, it was a struggle to keep food cool. They have enough room in the laundry room for something like a big freezer, so this could easily be addressed. Toilets/shower facilities broke down, so the closest one was about 10 mins walk. No one seemed to be working to get them back up and running. Cleanliness was only ok. Dead flies and bugs left on the window sill for duration of the stay. Other residents who had been coming for 17 years say the site was well maintained under the previous owners, but standards are slipping.

Few things need to be addressed but overall would recommend to others
Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Cleanliness of the site and facilities, not to overcrowded like other sites in the area.
Few good parks for the kids
Generally overall a really good place to stay.
Disliked Shop was absolutely shocking, needs getting supplies in, even if it was from a local supermarket.
Not told about needing a pass to play bingo, this was only told to us after queueing up for 30 minutes to get tickets, the young man who was selling the tickets was absolutely useless at providing help,
luckily a nice couple in the queue allowed a few of us to use their pass so we could play.
£6.50 for mini golf pp is diabolical!
Luckily they didn’t have enough stock of golfballs so we couldn’t play unfortunately for the kids but I was glad as that is shockingly overpriced for what it is.

Great site with only a few niggles
Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Well kept site, large pitches, good facilities, rural location…The stars are AMAZING 🤩
Great woodland forest walk accessed directly from the site. Worth the trip on its own!
Site has wi-fi site wide, coverage and access is intermittent though, but what do you expect…you have to respect that you are in a field in the middle of Devon countryside :)
Disliked Some electric points are quite a distance from the pitch so a 25m hookup is essential just in case!
No toilet roll in any gents toilet all night…take your own to be sure.
