Surf! And a bar, and a beer garden – and easy access to Cornwall's famed attractions like the Eden Project 14 miles away: you might want to stay at Carvynick Holiday Park for quite some time. A 10-minute drive from the world-famed surf and the surf schools of Newquay, Carvynick is set in Cornish countryside among spectacular scenery, and centrally located for easy-drive day trips to the likes of St Austell, the Eden Project, Newquay Zoo, Bodmin Moor and the Clay Trails. In between days out exploring the local land, have an afternoon or evening in a pub run by chef Adam Handling (as this establishment is separate from the holiday park, you'll need to check directly with them for opening times and availability; it's a popular spot so booking ahead is strongly advised). Carvynick is pet friendly.

Reception is unmanned after 4 p.m.. Please inform the park while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Admission

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

For group bookings (more than 1 pitch) of same sex or mixed groups under the age of 21, the site ask for a £50 bond per person upon arrival which will be refunded upon departure. Reception is unmanned on Saturday and Sunday but the site can be contacted on the number provided if required.

Liked Great helpful staff.
A small camp site.
Location quite good with a cosy Michelin star pub right next to site and a convenience shop within walking distance.
Most pitches are very well spaced out with good and great views.
Very peaceful most of the time but you can hear a bit of road noise at night.

Disliked The radiator on constantly in the shower room even in height of summer.
Temperature of water in shower needs to be cooler in hot weather.
The short burst of shower water in between the pressing of the button.
No storage for shampoo, conditioner etc in showers.
Paths on campsite are very loosely gravelled and cars going in and out of the campsite create a lot of unnecessary dust for the campers.
Quite expensive for the facilities offered.
Poor TV signal.

i am glad you had a nice time, it is not a radiator, it is a heated towel rail, which you can turn on and off yourself, maybe someone used it before you went it shower, and did not turn it of, , we do hope to see you again.

Liked Special views and fantastic to be able to walk to the Tartan Fox where we had incredible food. Quiet, rustic site, we had an enjoyable stay.

Disliked Only a small number of showers and they became blocked at one point, needed a more regular clean to be more pleasant.

Liked Adam’s restaurant which is not owned by the campsite, spectacular views if you get a front pitch

Disliked dump ground at bottom, poor cleaning of facilities, no dishwashing facilities, very empty

From the manager: restaurant is owned by us, we lease it out!!, toilets and showers are cleaned 3 times daily you must have used them when someone else came out of the shower block, there is dishwashing facilities, 2 sinks, washing machines, fridge freezers, and electric points, you could have asked, and some one and we would of helped you, the reason it would of been quiet on your stay jeff, is that we get really busy for boardmasters, which is a music festival, , which is the day after you left all the very best

Liked Flat pitches, with great space. Toilet and shower block were modern and cleaned regularly. Great if you’re looking for somewhere a bit out of the main area of Newquay, 10 minute drive into the town.

Disliked Dirty showers and toilets. No one there when we arrived to show us where to go the laundry was on a building site. Noisey drunk camp next to us kept my 2 disabled kids awake

From the manager: sorry maria you did not like your stay , depending on what time you arrived, as we are not open 24 hrs, but you would have had a call and a welcome pack left out, with a map in it!! laundry is at the top of the site, and all sign posted. noisey drunk camp? you should have reported them to reception , we never had any one say about the noise, i am sorry it kept your children awake .
